Hi,

I like your deck a lot! To my knowledge, Instill Energy deserves a place in the mainboard though, along with a card you have not considered yet but does the same thing: Nature's Chosen. Both are cheaper (free) to use than Magewright's Stone for instance. Furthermore, I prefer Soul of the Harvest over Regal Force but both are good so whatever makes you happy. Last but not least, I think Joraga Warcaller would fit well in here.

Cheers,

NV_1980:

I very much recognize Instill Energy's power, and I own one, but I like Magewright's Stone because if Yisan gets whacked over and over it sticks around to untap Karametra's Acolyte, Priest of Titania, et al to enhance the elf ball ramp strategy. I'm not actually trying to go that wide with elves as a true elfball deck--it's the backup strat for when Yisan can't get online. I'll ramp into my Yisan bombs or alphastrike with my mana dorks and Beastmaster Ascension or Craterhoof Behemoth, as opposed to using Lords and tokens.

If I was trying to be as optimized as possible instill energy would be in, along with Birds of Paradise and Utopia Sprawl but I don't mind a slow startbhere and there. Helps keep friends from hating the deck.

Joraga Warcaller would indeed be good though. Fits in nicely with what I'm trying to do with the elves, and I often have mana to spare.

I think I have a Soul of the Harvest lying around...

Hey man! I love the deck and just recently made my own based heavily on yours, so thanks for that!

I ended up slotting in a Patron of the Orochi since I had it lying around and wanted to see how silly it was with Seedborn Muse. It's a bit redundant, but helps with recovery when Yisan gets hated on. I added Yeva, Nature's Herald, still trying to determine if she's needed or not. Did you ever playtest with her?

I added a few more recursion cards, such as Regrowth and Reclaim. Just helped a bit more in my play group.

Again, awesome deck.

That's really awesome to hear that you modeled your deck after mine! Most "standard" Yisan decks run a fair amount of elves but I always thought it was fun to kick it up a notch. I don't feel I run enough to make things like Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen, Drove of Elves, or Imperious Perfect quite worth it, but it's nice to have elf synergy beyond Priest of Titania tapping for 2.

I have a Yeva, Nature's Herald but took her out early on. I was just never excited to see her in my hand. Flashing in fatties obviously has its perks though.

Yeah, Regrowth et al are great. Sometimes there are cards that one just wishes weren't singletons and recursion can help with that.

Quest for Renewal is a must IMO.

Skillville, it used to be in for a long time but I replaced it with Seedborn Muse once Battlebond dropped, as it's tutor-able.

Thanks for the upvote and comment!

Hello! Cool deck, I have a similar one, it is always fun to play with it and surprising the opponents with Yisan's reaction. But why Wildest Dreams, green has much better option for drawing back something from graveyard. Song of the Dryads instead of Desert Twister?

Budget reasons. Just never got around to getting one yet. Also, this is a ramp deck so Wildest Dreams is awesome

As a guy who always plays a half-elven bard when pressed... This is my heart on tiny pieces of paper - love it.

The commitment to theme is worthy of a stellar high-five. Excellent description, plenty of information to understand the context, and a super big "This fucking ROCKS" for you. Upvote, followed, you're a keeper.

Optimator +1

Castle Garenbrig/Ancient Tomb - Ramp

Elemental Bond - Draw

I would take out the spider unless flying is prevalent in the meta in favor for song of the dryads

The spider is a pet card/fun-of. It's not the worst toolbox target.

Ancient Tomb is out of budget these days. It would be in all thirty of my decks otherwise ;) besides, the mana dorks make it so I'm never wanting for mana. This might be one of the last decks I would put it in, now what I think about it.

Castle Garenbrig is a good one though! I could squeeze it in.

Thanks for the up-vote Profet93!
