There is underlying Nordic-theme here. The good and god-fearing folk of Kaleva (white and green) fight the monsters from far North (black) but because of dualism of man there are also monsters within.
For example
Rustic Clachan
represents a typical medieval village at Tavastland, and Fiend Hunters are the traditional heroes in Kalevala.

(Plus, sorry for adding Siege Rhinos, they do not fit the Nordic / Kalevala -theme I had in mi mind, but they are great with Undying Evil, Dying Wish and sac outlets that keep it bounching up and down, causing life loss and life gain :P )

THE BACKGROUND
I had an old Knight deck I have been building around
Darien, King of Kjeldor
and Soul Warden. Just a little while a go I realized
Midnight Guard
wielding Viridian Longbow would combo with Darien and Soul Warden like nuthin' else out there. Made me think how I could support them?
This deck is the testing ground on what would fit the deck best in Modern! For starters, I took core cards away from my Black Goat of the Wastes deck and decomissioned it.
