I like the concept but it just seems a little slow for modern to me

Thank you. Yea, it is rather slow!

Therefore I need some advice; how to fit in some control and removes to protect the combo OR how to make the combo faster while still remaining true to the original concept and idea? How to accelerate mana in modern, how to tutor cards out faster?

I don't personally like either of your sorcery cards. I would possibly take them out and add some transmute cards to allow you to tutor for what you need. Also I am a big fan of the Orzhov Keyrune because its nice for the extra mana, plus it doubles as a lifelinking creature in case of a board wipe. Also maybe add some white spells that give your creatures indestructible also in case of a board wipe.

Any particular transmute cards in mind?

I feel it would be so much easier to just run 3 cards instead of four. Four card combos never really work.

You could try Personal Sanctuary .

But beyond that, I suggest putting in green (go either Junk or Selesnya) and just run Presence of Gond with Midnight Guard . Then, you can put in stuff like Congregation at Dawn , Chord of Calling and Idyllic Tutor .

Thank you! As pointed out in the sub-text, I try building my decks of cards I have already, or can trade in w/o buying them. However, a full set of Presence of Gonds has been in my wanted list for so long i just might go and buy it all together. That means ofc i need to re-work the whole composition. Thank you for your input and for reminding me about that card!

Ruthless Ripper -> the strict upgrade to Typhoid Rats . Looks like a fun casual deck though! +1

Thank you very much! A Khan card I have never seen so far no matter been stopping by FNM booster drafts quite a few times already. I am gonna get those at some point, and replace them rats with it. Thanks again, also for the upvote!

So many combos, and they're all great

Why are you using Nantuko Husk? Bloodthrone Vampire, Blasting Station and Bloodflow Connoisseur are much better.

Thanks for commenting. Because I have Husk, I dont have the others you brought up. Also, Husk has more flavor in it.

But you are absolutely right; they are better. Especially Connoisseur seems a monster compared to Husk.

I actually built this deck. From drawing and playing against the m15 garruk the slayer, it works well. I put in 4 Diabolic Tutor though.

I'm not sure I get how this "combo" works: "Fiend Hunter + Bloodflow Connoisseur = perma exile." ?

Thanks for stopping by to comment! Please vote +1 if you like the ideas herein.

I try to explain how this works (forgive me my English):

Fiend Hunter comes in and his first ability triggers. Before it resolves Connoisseur sacs Fiend Hunter. Now Fiend Hunter dies and the second ability triggers before the first resolves. There are no targets b/c first ability has not yet resolved, so it does nothing. Now, finally, everything else resolved, the first ability will resolve too and target exiles. Because Fiend Hunter is dead, the target can't come back and is permanently exiled. Kinda like with Hollowtide Sculler.

And if that was not clear, or you simply would not believe thats how it goes, this is the official ruling from Gatherer: "If Fiend Hunter leaves the battlefield before its first ability has resolved, its second ability will trigger and do nothing. Then its first ability will resolve and exile the targeted creature indefinitely."

But again, thanks for stopping by!
