Echo doesn't work and isn't a good card in many ways. Stream of Thought is worse than Journey

Wouldn't replacing Jace, Wielder of Mysteries for E witness/ Memory's Journey be a better thing to do. Also, Grim Monolith seems good in here.

Fellin22 It is part of a 2 card combo with either Tainted Pact and Demonic Consultation . With the +1 on the stack, you can name a card not in your deck with DC or just exile all the way through your deck with TP you win when the draw resolves. Seems good to me

_BaaL_, you just cascade into Jace once you're combo-ing. It's a redundant wincon just in case lab man got exiled while you were assembling the combo.

Is First Sliver really better than Niv? At least Niv had the very fringe possibility of being cast for value.

Hmm, 1st Sliver dodges Torpor Orb, and Jace is actually more useful than a Sparkcaster when you're not going off.. So yeah, it seems like it IS the new FC commander. Oh well.

How exactly does the time twister combo loop? Is the combo done assuming that I have set my deck up to have 7 cards left or does that not matter with First Sliver due to the cascade ability? Do I cast a card (any card), hold priority, counter with swan song, cast time twister, rinse and repeat? If so is the extract loop done by replacing swan song with extract to mill everyone out?

Kynical: The loop uses Extract as you can't cascade with The First Sliver at instant speed (which you need to make the Swan Song loop work). Remember that the mana generated from Food Chain is only accessible to cast creature spells.

So to use the extract loop would I get infinite mana and with The First Sliver cascade my deck into a 7 card pile leaving in Time Twister and Extract? I would than use The First Sliver to cascade into extract and than twister and rinse and repeat? Also Shaper mentioned creating infinite birds in the combo execution portion - how would I be getting the mana or turns to initiate the infinite bird loop?

Kynical: Yes, You want to cascade into Extract , then Timetwister , then Noxious Revival (which resets the loop) in that order. And if you hit the cards out of order, just choose not to cast with cascade.

As for the Timetwister loop with Swan Song , I'm guessing you would first run Timetwister and Noxious Revival with Lotus Petal to generate infintie mana which is unconstrained, and then execute the loop with Swan Song in hand which can counter (insert spell here) which you're using as birb fodder.

Valaj you can use Memory's Journey and Noxious Revival to perform the loops. It works similar but you don’t get the reshuffle. It’s the best budget option for loops over twister.

Typically your plan A is to cascade into new jace or lab man then into consultation or pact and that will win you the game on the spot. So as a back up plan journey loops are fine.
