I can't pretend I'm good at making EDH decks but I think this deck needs Thran Dynamo.

Also, I like this deck when you don't get your lands destroyed.

Thanks, I'll take it into consideration.

is he's not too busy SirFowler can help you. also a good land for mana fixing is Reflecting Pool. of course the down side is that you need both type of lands out.

SirFowler, you are summoned! I guess you must be an expert here?

trollslayer, I will consider Reflecting Pool. I don't like the variability, but it could also be a very useful land.

Weird, I've never really been summoned before. Cool.

Anyway, is there anything in particular you need help with or just in general?

1) Good lands in my colors that don't come in tapped.
2) Good mana rocks that will help accelerate my game.
3) Good things against heavy counter magic decks.
4) Any other cards you think might be useful.

I think I can help out with that. I'm gonna go from top to bottom based on your suggestions.

Sacred Foundry - One of the better lands that I'm surprised you don't have in here. Sure, it deals 2 to you, but what's 2 damage compared to what you can deal in the long run.

Temple of the False God - Not the best, but it's like a free Sol Ring. Sure, you need at least 5 lands to activate, but that's incredibly easy in EDH.

Ancient Ziggurat - Great for creatures. Nuff' said.

Cavern of Souls - Great against control decks.

Mana Confluence - Not as good as City of Brass, but it's still a great land.

Exotic Orchard - Limited sure, but with enough people, it's almost inevitable.

Forbidden Orchard - Gives them stuff, but with enough removal, it's like it doesn't make a dent.

Pillar of the Paruns - Amazing with your commander and the like.

There are more, but that's it for now.

First off, Charcoal Diamond taps for black. Now for the other stuff.

Darksteel Ingot - Indestructibility is very underrated. If the opponent casts a card like Jokulhaups, you'll be the only one with mana on the field. That's big.

Chromatic Sphere and Chromatic Star - Cantrips are really vaulable in the game because it lets you get to the stuff you need.

Coalition Relic - Just because it's the boss.

Commander's Sphere - Like the ingot, gaining any color is nice to have while the cantrip is just an added bonus.

Mana Vault - Probably one of the better mana rocks out there for very early game.

Mox Diamond and Mox Opal - With all of the artifacts in here, they could be easily abused.

There might be more, but again, that's just the start.

There are few in boros colors that can go against counters. There's Cavern of Souls like I said,so there's one.

Akroma, Angel of Fury - Very costly, but very powerful. If you can get her out, you will be hated.

Boseiju, Who Shelters All - Great way so your Ghostway or Wrath of God don't get countered, but it's not the best in here.

Obliterate - Very costly, but very underrated.

Overmaster - Not the best in here, but it can help.

Mana Tithe, Pyroblast, and Red Elemental Blast - Cheap counterspells in boros colors. Very rare in magic.

Like I said, there aren't a lot in the boros colors.

Godo, Bandit Warlord - A great way to get out the swords to smash face.

Quietus Spike - Just if you want to be truly diabolical.

Over all, you have a very solid deck. Have you actually tested it out yet?

Thanks for all of the suggestions, I appreciate the time you took.

Haha Sacred Foundry is supposed to be in here, that was an oversight...

Cavern of Souls is a bit pricey for me right now just for one situation, but I'll keep my eye on it. This was particularly helpful with the lands.

For some reason I've always disliked Mana Vault. I guess it's just personal...

I like Mox Diamond and Mox Opal.

I had Akroma, Angel of Fury in an earlier version, but she's just so big and clunky...8 is a ton of mana for this deck.

I have an Aurelia deck, but this is what I want to make the changes to eventually. I would say I have about 60% of the cards, and it shouldn't take me that long to get the others. Once I set my mind on a project it will get completed. I'll probably try to do some testing on untap.in, and then in person with my friends once it's built and go from there.

Now the fun part is figuring out what to cut...

Charcoal Diamond for starters, mainly cause you can't have it in there. As for the rest, I'm not sure.

I always have a hard time taking out cards in my own decks. I'm always both excited and sad when I get new cards for my deck because I never know what to take out.

I guess you'll have to play test and see what works and what doesn't. If you do want to, I could create a room on Untap so we could test your deck.

Haha you said that it was illegal and I skipped right over it...it's supposed to be Marble Diamond.

I did make some changes and eliminated some cards for them.

I love the idea of using Rabblemaster for this! I wonder if it could successfully be chained with Goblin Piledriver and Krenko, Mob Boss for a side bit of takedown. As long as you remember to, so he doesn't have to attack, you can tap Krenko twice each turn, and end up with an absolutely MASSIVE number of goblins. (Getting 4x the number of goblin tokens plus an additional three every turn) Toss in a Soul Warden/Soul's Attendant and you've got something.

Gonna hafta look through this one some more and compare it to my Aurelia EDH to see what I can benefit from it.

Goblin Piledriver and Krenko, Mob Boss are sweet cards. The cool thing about Goblin Rabblemaster is that he can do it on his own through generating tokens. If I draw Piledriver without other goblins he's kind of lackluster, though.

Krenko, Mob Boss makes more sense. I'll consider it, as he can pretty much generate an army on his own. My only worry is that it will take too long without playing other goblins.

I do have a Grenzo, Dungeon Warden EDH deck that totally abuses Goblins, though.

So I just went and tested a 2v2 on untap. Felt really good playing the deck. Turn 4 Aurelia equipped with Lightning Greaves. Next turn I soulbonded Silverblade Paladin. Proceeded to smack them heavily with commander damage. They did Black Sun's Zenith my stuff eventually but was able to recast Aurelia and swing for the win!

So much fun :D Although the guys I was playing against weren't that great, in terms of their decks.

July 5, 2015 9:37 p.m.

SirFowler says... #14

That's one problem with untap. The players are less competitive and more just testing stuff. I could do some testing sometime if you really wanted to. I have multiple decks with different playstyles, so it just depends on what you would want to play against.

July 5, 2015 10:19 p.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #15

I'd be down for that, although I'm not sure how we'll meet up as I'm not sure what time zone you're in. I guess let me know and we'll figure it out.

SirFowler says... #16

You should add Aggravated Assault in here. Definitely a devastating blow when paired with Sword of Feast and Famine.

July 6, 2015 2:34 p.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #17

It's already in here, I think you must have just missed it.

July 6, 2015 2:37 p.m.

SirFowler says... #18

Ah, right. Hmm, Leyline of Sanctity would do really well in here. Maybe also cards like Grafdigger's Cage, Aven Mindcensor, and Stranglehold to shut down certain decks, mainly the ones we were just playing. Leonin Arbiter could work too, but you probably have more search effects to make it hurt you more than the opponent. Another great card would be Assemble the Legion for automatic effects that gain exponential growth over time.

Those are just a few. There might be more, but I'm drawing a blank for right now.

July 6, 2015 2:45 p.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #19

I had Assemble the Legion in here, but I cut it because it think it's just a bit too slow.

The others I will consider, especially as I am going to construct a SB for the deck.

July 6, 2015 3:14 p.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #20

Okay, I made the SB. What do you think SirFowler? It super hates on people with ETB effects.

Also I just remembered about Price of Glory, an amazing card against decks playing heavy counter spells.

July 7, 2015 11:18 a.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #21

Also what does everyone think of Relic Seeker? Not exactly Stoneforge, but could still be useful in here as a second.

July 7, 2015 11:20 a.m.

SirFowler says... #22

I like the sideboard, but I'm not sure how many people actually use a sideboard in EDH.

As for the Relic Seeker, I like it a lot. It's a cheap alternative for those who can't afford Stoneforge Mystic, but it's no replacement for the real thing. If you wanted to have another mystic like ability, you should go with Stonehewer Giant because it puts the equipments directly onto the battlefield.

July 7, 2015 11:35 a.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #23

The SB is more for 1v1. Some of the cards would be really good in some matchups, but just not that great in others.

I'll consider Stonehewer Giant as well.

The list looks really good. I just think you need more card draw especially when keeping mana costs low. Dragon Mage, Wheel of Fate, Wheel of Fortune. Although I feel uncreative suggesting the cards (I always recommend them for r/w) ... They are simply my favorite cards in red for edh along with Gamble

July 8, 2015 2:49 p.m.

UpsetYoMama says... #25

Thanks for the suggestions AlexoBn, and I'm glad you like the deck.

I always think Nekusar when I see those cards, but you're right, one of my weaknesses is card draw. I definitely want to fit Wheel of Fortune into the deck.

Dragon Mage has too high of a CMC. At 7 mana it had better do something significant to win me the game, like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Gisela, Blade of Goldnight.

Wheel of Fate seems a bit slow for what I'm trying to do here, and opponents will know it's coming and play differently.

Gamble is pretty funny. I've tried it before and I'm not lucky with it lol. 7 out 10 times I discard the most important card haha...
