Sideboard

Maybeboard

Man, what to say about this deck. It's mostly good stuff angel tribal, which is always fun. Prob a solid-7 in power range.

As far as describing the deck, Shalai, Voice of Plenty has been one of those cards that does so much more work then you would expect. Giving her hexproof, shroud or protection with cards like Sigarda, Font of Blessings, Guardian Augmenter, Lightning Greaves, Mother of Runes, or Giver of Runes, is key. In addition, greens ability to ramp and recur cards is key for this deck to get going. One of this deck's strong points is getting back cards from exile, so things like Pull from Eternity or Riftsweeper are essential to staying on pace when things go south.

A strong point to this deck is that it really makes removal packages hurt, and gets specific on what to run against it. I run things like Farewell as an example, and mention cards like Arcane Lighthouse,Cyclonic Rift,Toxic Deluge,Terminus, Winds of Abandon, or Shadowspear to show how to beat it. "Each" is a keyword that can destroy the game plan, so the pilot will need to know when to react, with minimal interaction; Teferi's Protection is your best friend. An opponent will need creative lines of play, and correct timing to dismantle the deck if the board state gets too oppressive.

There's a couple ways to power up the deck, like your classic streamlined mana, such as fast-mana like Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, Mox Diamond, Chrome Mox, Mox Amber *f-pre*, but where's the fun in that. Also there is a luck of the draw with this deck so it's always fun on and RNG level, but obviously to make this deck run smoother; we'd run more of a draw package, but would lose some of the flavor of the angel theme.

The way the deck wins is by stacking layers of Hexproof and Indestructible onto creatures and swinging with a lot of damage. There's a basic tutor package with, Defense of the Heart, Enlightened Tutor or Eladamri's Call, and can speed up the deck to getting the lock down on it's strategies. If all else fails, then we go for the combos. They'll be listed below.

Basic Two Card Combos:

Archangel of Thune + Spike Feeder = infinite life, and infinite counters on creatures besides Spike Feeder.

Guardian Augmenter + Shalai, Voice of Plenty or Lightning Greaves + Shalai, Voice of Plenty = You and creatures are Hexproof.

Shalai, Voice of Plenty + Sigarda, Font of Blessings = You and permanents are Hexproof.

Three Card or More Combos:

Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Sigarda, Font of Blessings, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Platinum Angel = You, Permanents, and Planswalkers have hexproof, Creatures are Indestructible, can't lose, & opponents can't win.

Archangel of Thune, Spike Feeder, Concordant Crossroads, Defense of the Heart = Next upkeep you gain infinite life, then next main you get infinite damage per creature that's not Spike Feeder.

Ultimate Line/Hand: Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Guardian Augmenter, Privileged Position, Esper Sentinel, Sigarda, Host of Herons, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Platinum Angel, Archangel of Thune, Spike Feeder with cards like Heroic Intervention, Pull from Eternity, & Noxious Revival in hand = win.

I never had it get to the point of not having Shalai, Voice of Plenty for any reason, but though of this combo if that situation ever happened: Mirage Mirror, Privileged Position, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Platinum Angel = You can't lose & opponents can't win; plus permanents are hexproof and indestructible (must pay an optional 2 per turn to keep it going). note Mirage Mirror isn't in the deck... yet. I'd slot out Sparring Regimen from Strixhaven, but like it too much because of "learn" mechanic. It sparks up a conversation about sideboards in commander, and can play fair with a discard and draw effect. It's also nicely paired with Riftstone Portal (also not in deck) for color fixing. Additionally if we were to be really mean and never want friends again, we go with the combo Nature's Revolt & Linvala, Keeper of Silence. But good thing Nature's Revolt isn't in the deck.

Lastly I should mention the side board is just the "learn"/"lesson" cards from Strixhaven in the correct color pie featuring the above card, Sparring Regimen. However the maybeboard are things I'd like to slot in the deck somehow.

Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to check out my list and come to this Selesnya Ted-Talk. Lemme know below anything I might have not thought about in the comments below!
