This was a fun deck I put together for Archenemy games where I would be on the player team. It mostly tries to stick counters on lots of creatures that actually want counters or to be bigger. There's no removal or anything, it's basically support and some attack power.
Hunters' Feast and
Feral Hydra
are just for fun. If no one has anything to do, they can at least dump some mana into the Hydra.
Fertilid is awesome on a team. Not only does he rely on counters, but he lets target PLAYER search their deck for a land. If someone is mana-screwed, this guy helps a lot.
Forgotten Ancient
is really the backbone of the deck. Everyone casts spells, he gets bigger, he gets to move counters onto any other creature. I love this card.
It also has a weird use with
Strength of the Tajuru
.
Forgotten Ancient
gets a counter from casting that spell, and if you pay 1 for the multikicker, he'll get the X counters along with the other
Strength of the Tajuru
target. During your upkeep you move the counters to that other creature.
It's kind of slow and janky, but you basically got another X counters ON that creature at SORT OF the cost of 1 turn.
Fungal Behemoth
and
Lead by Example
just dump counters around for a quick boost. The Behemoth is also a huge beater.
Sprouting Vines
is CRAZY when there's 3-4 spells a turn. Most of the time if I am good on land, I'll chuck them to
Mindless Automaton
who is a card drawing machine in the deck.
Skarrgan Pit-Skulk
is technically the only "victory" condition. He catches a lot of people off guard once he starts getting counters.
Strength of the Tajuru
and Viridian Joiner are great. Start dumping counters on the Joiner with
Llanowar Reborn
or
Lead by Example
or any other method, then get a massive multikicker for everything.
Tezzeret's Gambit is back up card draw and Proliferate obviously. Works well with
Forgotten Ancient
since it will get two +1/+1 counters.
If you thought Edric, Spymaster of Trest was good in Commander, he's even better here. Everyone but the badguy benefits!
Novijen, Heart of Progress
isn't anything all THAT special, but it does put a +1/+1 counter on EACH creature that entered the battlefield THAT turn, so it works for each teammate which is handy.
