Yeah, I was kind of thinking that about the grimoire, I just thought it was cool. I'll probably pull it for some counter. I like ,Mikaeus though. The undying combos nice with sacrificing. I just ordered the cards, so they should get here soon. I'll try it out against actual opponents and see how Mikaeus does.

If you have Rooftop Storm on the field, you can cast Zombies free, including Gravecrawler from graveyard, making it instant win with your main combo. A friend of mine runs it, turn 6 win if he draws the right cards, averages a turn 8-9 win.

Oh man, I didn't even think about it being free to cast from the graveyard. I'll throw a couple of those in. Thanks.

I like the combo with Rooftop Storm, but I would ditch the other enchantments and add lands. Consistency is king.

I got a simular deck although mine splashes both green and blue instead of just blue. The Necrophage
I like running more removal though and although i would love using it i don't use Endless Ranks of the Dead nor Call to the Kindred cause they are to slow for my deck. If your going for midrange/long games they should work though.
Killing Wave is great with Diregraf Captain out btw would suggest putting that in. and maby something to stop flyers like Vampire Nighthawk or vs Entreat the Angels /other token = Sever the Bloodline .

Yeah, I was kinda on the fence about those other enchantments too. Thanks for giving me the excuse for taking them out. I added a couple lands and Killing Wave s. I can see that card cleaning up nicely. Put 2 Sever the Bloodline s in my sideboard. i noticed people had them in there a lot but I didn't realize that was why. Thanks for that too.

Grimgrin is standard... why is anyone saying otherwise?!

Love this deck. Havengul Lich could turn all of your Zombies into Gravecrawlers, meaning you can cast and sac Geralf's Messenger with Rooftop Storm out for only one mana, over and over and over. Just a thought.

I'd suggest putting in some Crippling Blight in the sideboard vs reckoner

Lotleth Troll maybe Dreg Mangler to have more zombies to get Gravecrawler back from the grave?

I like the deck idea with the Blood Artist and Diregraf Captain , as these are 2 of my favorite cards. There are not too many things i would change except for either dropping Rogue's Passage (simply for mana fixing) or Rooftop Storm (becase the only creature really affected by it is Grimgrin the Corpse-Born).i agree with NBK_SHREDDER on throwing in Dreg Mangler just for a little more speed.
PS. the sac to regen ability of Varolz, the Scar-Striped could work nicely with your Blood Artist /Diregraf Captain combo

Deathrite Shaman makes a good reanimator sideboard card, and good against lots of control decks.

Honestly, Lotleth Troll makes for an awesome card here. The possibility of discarding gravecrawlers and reanimating them from graveyard is a +.
I'd give it preference over Dreg Mangler .

Also it would improve your mana curve.
+1 to the suggestion of replacing the very awesome Dreg Mangler with Lotleth Troll .
Might be an idea to replace one Geralf's Messenger with an extra Lotleth Troll whilst you are at it.

actually nevermind it probably will, but you need to subtract at least 3 3drops to make room for some 2 drops.

i used to run a zombie deck like this myself once. it needs more counter spells. Syncopate Negate Dissipate are all good.
mikaeus and the grimoire are too slow no matter how much you like them.
I like the idea of Call to the Kindred though i forgot about it.
