Enchantment (1)

This deck was an experimental deck for me, as I had never made a blue-green deck before, and I was playing with the concepts of card advantage and landfall. I wanted to include a handful of powerful green creatures in this deck, such as Avenger of Zendikar, Engulfing Slagwurm, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Ulvenwald Hydra, and Giant Adephage, but I also needed a way to pull lands out of my library and onto the battlefield, in order to afford those creatures. Thus, I decided to include cards such as Oracle of Mul Daya (which let's you play an additional land every turn in addition to playing with the top card of your library revealed and automatically playing it if it's a land card), Merfolk Branchwalker, Enter the Unknown (both of which allow you to explore, which is to reveal the top card of your library and put it into your hand if it's a land card, otherwise, put a +1/+1 counter on that or target creature. Enter the Unknown also allows you to play an additional land that turn.), Burnished Hart (which allows you to put two basic lands from your library onto the battlefield tapped if you pay and sacrifice it), Yavimaya Elder (who similarly lets you search your library for two basic land cards to put into your hand), Llanowar Elves (whom you can tap for ), as well as Rhonas's Monument (which reduces the mana cost of green creature spells by ), and Kiora, the Crashing Wave, (which, for –1 loyalty counter, you may draw a card, and play an additional land this turn). All of these cards allow you to quickly accrue all the lands you need to power your deck and pay for your creatures.

In addition to the cards which directly put land cards into play or your hand, I also included some cards which would increase your chance of drawing lands and simultaneously grant you card advantage by including cards to help you draw more often, such as Prime Speaker Zegana, Cryptic Command, Curiosity, Dosan's Oldest Chant, and Kiora, the Crashing Wave (–1 loyalty counter). Well of Ideas is an enchantment that lets you draw two additional cards per turn (i.e. in addition to your draw phase), and lets every other player draw one extra card per turn. (This gives everyone else more cards as well, but it gives you more cards than it gives them, and thus, card advantage.) The more cards you draw, the more options you'll have, and the higher your chances will be for drawing lands.

I understand that flying creatures can be a problem to fight against, so I included both Archetype of Imagination and Levitation to give all your creatures flying, as well as Ulvenwald Hydra, who has reach, and who's power and toughness are each equivalent to the number of lands you control, very handy in this kind of deck, where lands pop out of nowhere.

I included some combos which leverage the fundamental mechanisms of the deck (i.e., landfall, card advantage), such as Chasm Skulker, card:Grazing Gladeheart, Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Mob, and Ulvenwald Hydra. All of these cards play off of the fact that you are laying down lands like crazy and drawing cards more than normal.

When all of this comes together, you get powerfully effective and far-reaching combos, acting like a network amidst your battlefield and library giving you more resources and the ability to channel powerful spells. At the height of this deck's power, you will have amassed powerful armies of plants, saprolings, great and powerful creatures, and tons of mana to cast even more.

As always, I am open to suggestions, criticisms, ideas, and comments, and you can definitely feel free to private message me if you want. If you enjoyed this deck, please don't forget to upvote it, and if you want to see more of my decks, just go to my user page at LuckyCharms7.
