Welcome to my Temur Elementals deck. This deck centers around Risen Reef. Playing elementals triggers its ability to draw cards and ramp into Cavalier of Thorns.

What makes this deck special? Reanimation. This deck uses Thunderkin Awakener to reanimate dead elementals, or elementals that Cavalier of Thorns or Lightning Axe have dumped into the graveyard. The most powerful of these creatures is Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar. What makes him so powerful is that he is a 0/0 in the graveyard, so Thunderkin Awakener can reanimate him. But when he comes into play, he immediately becomes huge due to all the lands in my graveyard and on the battlefield.

For longevity and early defense, this deck includes Young Pyromancer. Useful as a way to proc Risen Reef, and as a way to get some blockers in the early game, he is the right choice. Instants like Stubborn Denial and Lightning Axe trigger the pyromancer, as well as provide a discard outlet and protection for my cavaliers. Ghostly Flicker can make my temporarily reanimated creatures permanent, as well as trigger all my ETB’s again. Become Immense is the final important instant in this deck. It squeezes more value out of my graveyard, and it also allows Thunderkin Awakener to reanimate any elemental in my graveyard.

Finally, there is Omnath. Omnath creates a chain reaction with Risen Reef, creating elementals off land drops, then in turn making more land drops. Omnath, Locus of Rage wins the game as soon as he comes out. Omnath, Locus of the Roil is great card draw late game, and is a good removal spell.
