That's fair, I wasn't sure how crazy strong you wanted the deck to be. Proteus Staff is definitely crossing a line into win-more territory. I've always loved scroll rack just to help out when you end up drawing something you'd rather play for free. It also makes it safer to run some pretty great miracle cards.

RageFactory - Yes, that certainly is a benefit to playing Scroll Rack. I am debating between running Entreat the Angels in the deck, but I'm afraid that too often it will be hit by Narset and I won't actually get to play it since X would be 0. What are your thoughts on that?

Hey there. Sweet deck. As for your previous question, I built narset too, and I tried to avoid X spells. It's a cryin shame to see them exiled.

I noticed a couple cards that are a little less efficient Lightning Bolt is a great card in other constructed formats, I play it in tiny leaders, but I don't feel it's good in commander, you have access to some of the best removal in the entire history of magic, what about something that only costs one mana more Cyclonic Rift which can remove a pesky permanent OR reset a boardstate.

anyway, awesome deck, looks like a lot of fun. :)

I like your deck, it looks fun! It's a different direction than I went w my Narset deck; which is cool since it shows the variety that these colors offer

Storm Herd sounds awesome, and I'm jealous of your Omniscience and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage

I would 100% suggest Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety. With only three creatures in the deck; you need to deter your opponents from swarming you! also Vedalken Orrery and Leyline of Anticipation make her nutty and unpredictable

please take a look at my deck and tell me what you think!
Enlightened Introvert
you'll see that I plan on a lot more turn-taking, which does lean more towards the "cause a lot of grief for me in my playgroup" side of things, but is very powerful

cheers

I should consider more protection effects, so might find room for Propaganda and Ghostly Prison. The Leyline is cool but I don't have a whole lot of things that matter if I cast them before combat ends that aren't already instants so I don't know how worthwhile that is. Still debating it. Heading over to your deck now!

This looks like a lot of fun. I have a superfriends deck with Narset that's focused on taking extra turns.

I think the mana base needs some work here. You have too many tap lands. The scry lands are excellent with Narset, but I would remove the following: Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, the guildgates, the bounce lands, and Vivid Meadow. Consider replacing them, if you can, with fetches and other lands such as Mana Confluence, City of Brass, Reflecting Pool, other pain lands, etc. If you do choose to run more tap lands, something like Faerie Conclave is nice.

Also, do you have enough mana acceleration? I would consider adding Signets.

I dislike Ponder possibly Divination or Think Twice instead

Maybe try Mass Calcify instead of Day of Judgment

dc1066 - Ponder is super powerful. Even in EDH. The card filtering is way more powerful than just drawing one more card. There is almost never a time I don't like Ponder in my hand. Mass Calcify would be a possibility if so many of my friends didn't run white, but most of them do. Sure, it lets Narset live if I hit it with her, but it also lets things like Akroma, Angel of Wrath, Sun Titan, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Marath, Will of the Wild, etc. live. Plus, Day of Judgment is castable before Narset to clear the way while Mass Calcify costs 7 mana and doesn't clear the way.

Don't you think Ring of Valkas is way better than Swiftfoot Boots? It has the same cost and effect, but it also has a little bonus.

Bhuddy - That's an interesting idea, however I like the Boots because I can give other things of mine hexproof (Aurelia, Grand Arbiter, a Batterskull Germ, etc.)

Proliferate with walkers is to good, tested this had Gideon at 38 loyalty also took 10 extra turns with Ral Zarek

Blackshadow415 - Yeah, proliferating planeswalkers gets to be a little crazy. Ral Zarek basically becomes "infinite" turns.

You could run Thrummingbird it seems good for your build

February 24, 2016 10:50 a.m.

You could put in Grapeshot especially if you can get multiple combat steps with Narset

February 24, 2016 10:52 a.m.

That also works great with Sword of Feast and Famine because you can get the untaps and then cast more spells adding to the storm count

February 24, 2016 10:55 a.m.

evncrbch says... #18

Thrummingbird is interesting. I can't hit it with Narset which is a major downside. If I can't hit it with her, it needs to be really good on its own. I'll think about it though, for sure. I don't know if Grapeshot is high enough impact though. It's only really good if I'm going off, and if I'm going off I'll probably win anyway. Direct damage tends to be underwhelming in EDH (which is why I'm looking to replace Warleader's Helix) unless it's like Comet Storm.

Perhaps you could add Crawlspace because seeing you have almost no creatures it could help

February 24, 2016 11:51 a.m.

evncrbch says... #20

Crawlspace wouldn't be a bad option. That's certainly worth a look. Also thinking about Dissipation Field.

February 24, 2016 11:57 a.m.

Dissipation Field looks dirty just everytime you get dealt damage bounce especially with decks that want to kill you with commander damage

February 24, 2016 12:08 p.m.

Bhuddy says... #22

I tried Dissipation Field on another narset build, but my meta has too many creatures with good etb effects.

February 25, 2016 6:54 p.m.

Dissipation Field does definitely depend on your meta, my meta does not run that many creatures with etb effects accept the one 5c Allies deck which is deadly with all the triggers

What does my Jeskai - Control, Exile, and Burn Commander deck need that i could put in my deck to make it beter the way i built it? i dont have alot of the cards that you have in your deck BUT what could I remove from my deck that i could replace with cards close-to-Similar to what you have? Thanks. Hope to hear back. d&g85
