This is awesome! I love it, going to build this as well as a BU HP Lovecraft deck. Thank you for the hard work of putting it together!

Fangorian : It looks like the price of your deck is coming down in value overall. You might be able to sneak in some more pricey/powerful cards in without breaking your budget (or theme).

Good point there. Just replaced Manaplasm with Scavenging Ooze and still rolling under $50!

One card I really would like to include is Toxic Deluge but I don't see it's price going down unless it gets reprint in some future set. :/

Congrats on the upgrade. But bummer about Toxic Deluge. That puppy probably isn't getting a reprint anytime soon.

Nice list! I'm currently building thelon myself. I didn't see it any of the previous comments but have you considered Necrotic Ooze? I think he goes pretty well with fungi in the yard not sure if he breaks your budget though. Lets you get a bit more value out of the saproling sac effects as well as some of the other oozes abilities. Anyway, I really like your list and am excited to see what the future holds for this deck.

A new fungus has been revealed for BFZ, isn't it cute :)

Oh yes, oh yesss! Finally some fresh meat for the grinder!

I really like this Rot Shambler. It's cheap, uses +1/+1 counters and looks absolutely disgusting. :P

I'm also considering those new Blighted lands, they fit the theme and effects are quite useful.

Also.. Golgari Rot Farm instead of Pine Barrens? It's cheaper, as far as I can tell (with the MM2015 reprint), and a hell of a lot better, flavor or otherwise.

How about.. Jund Panorama? Not quite the most flavorful, but it's another decent budget fetchland that hits your colors and fuels Worm Harvest without necessarily hitting your tempo.

Awesome deck! I submitted it to The Cheap Deck Club.. I always love discovering new awesome budget decks, especially Golgari! +1!

How do you feel about Grave Sifter?

December 30, 2015 7:06 p.m.

cklise says... #14

While I don't speak for the deck creator, Sifter is neither a fungus or an ooze, which are the only two types of creatures in this deck (discounting adds like zombie, sliver, etc), so it would disrupt the theme.

Indeed. I like to keep this deck fungus (and oozes) only, even tho' there are tons of cards with great tribal synergies. A few good rares would boost the power level of this deck a lot but I kinda like these lowly bottom feeders.

Maybe some day we will return to Dominaria where thallids roam free and fungus cards are playable rares, instead of filler commons. :P

Also, happy new year to people of TappedOut and stay away from that (b)ooze if you're gonna drive!

Enslave fits with the Fungi from Yuggoth short story but its not an ooze or fungi itself. Not sure how you feel about that.

It looks like the price of a few cards has gone down (largely thanks to the latest Commander release). You might be able to sneak more value in.

Built this on MTGO. Everyone ignores the small fungi till it is too late. I love it, the paper copy is in the mail.

Not a fungus or ooze, and the deck already has its chief druid, but the upcoming Deathcap Cultivator is flavorful.
