Fungus Among Us (budget < $40, wins turn 9)

Casual* Budget Mono-Green Tokens

Fonstw

Maybeboard

Enchantment (4)

Sorcery (2)

======Description======

The strategy is to play as much Saproling tokens as fast as possible, and then play a sorcery that does "Creatures you control gain +.../+... until end of turn", and deal a neat little ~70 damage in a single attack.

======Explanation of the cards======

Thallid: Cheap creature, does its work. Always handy.

Thallid Shell-Dweller: Cheap defender. Always handy. (and does its work!)

Utopia Mycon: Cheap creature, does its work, generates mana.

Psychotrope Thallid: Does its work, draw additional card. Playing speed, especially in the beginning, is very powerful!

Thallid Germinator: For blocking; Relatively high power/toughness, and gives +1+1.

Thorn Thallid: Once you get going, they're good damage. Even on creatures. (slight creature control?)

Sporemound: Relatively fast Saprolings for the beginning. If you're gonna switch cards (with a sidedeck, or when customizing your Fungus Among Us, these should be the ones you're gonna swap out)

Dreampod Druid + Verdant Embrace makes not one, but TWO Saprolings per turn. That just evil! (a fourth Druid is good too, sometimes I don't draw 'em enough) (also: in case of sidedeck/customization: Switch these five out)

Sporesower Thallid + Sporoloth Ancient REALLY break up the game! Sporesower near-doubles the token-speed, while Sporoloth makes it 33% faster. One of each, and you lay one Saproling each turn! PER CREATURE!!

Overrun and Overwhelm: "RALLY!", once you have enough Saprolings that can attack, play this and demolish your enemy. I really feel like I need 5 of those, hence the single Overwhelm. (these together with mass Saprolings, make up the entire strategy)

And if you draw one of those Mycoloths, and you have something like 5 or more Saprolings and usable mana sources? Play one, sacrifice all Saprolings, it'll make twice that number of Saprolings each turn!! This is your BEAST! This is your game-changer! This is that ONE card where you don't wanna hear "Wait! I've got Counterspell!"

======Weak points vs Strong points======

Weak: Once your opponent is able to kill of your creatures (a.k.a. 'creature control'), you're boned. It's that simple: Their deck has a large number of "Deal ... damage to target creature (or player)" sorceries or abilities, you'll lose. Done

Weak: Once the opponent plays some sort of creature that prevents damage, or deals 1 damage to all your creatures or....... You have to rely on Thorn Thallid, or lose. Any other permanent that prevents you from winning: You simply don't win.

Strong points: Anything else, basically.
