Flash creatures are an issue, especially when you give them a new hand with tons of lands. If there was a way to give trample that would work out otherwise you would not be doing anything against flash creatures. (I would suggest adding blue for counters but that would change the deck quite a bit).

There isn't much flash in Standard beyond Archangel Avacyn  Flip or Secure the Wastes, if you consider it. Those are two pretty popular spells right now, though... This would make Clip Wings an ideal candidate.

(Also, wat? Reflector Mage ain't got flash, son.)

The Mage was a mistype because of how many coco decks I play vs. So i just accept him having flash.

Great deck I like it as I am running a Black/Green version of this deck for more creature control. +1 from me.

The way I see it, if Reflector Mage is being flashed in to block a Gaea's Revenge, and you already winning the game? They can't bounce it and they probably just got WREKT by The Great Aurora.

If it is your turn they are unable to cast Reflector Mage. He can only be cast on the opponents turn granted they are playing him. Even after he is played his ability does not affect Gaea's Revenge. If you are using The Great Aurora chances are you have more than one Gaea in hand and so reflector mage wouldnt be an ideal choice to play against an 8/5 haste that cant be touched. Another option. I built my friend a blue green ramp deck (not using Aurora) and I gave him Altered Ego because why wouldnt you want another Gaea that has +1/+1 counters on it lol.

Sigh... I made a mistake using Reflector Mage as an example. I forgot he doesn't have flash and was using him as an example for chump blocking, not because the bounce vs the revenge. I understand you can't targets the revenge with the mage. I should have used Archangel Avacyn  Flip for the example but was forgetting which Avacyn name was the right one and was trying to be lazy. The idea that anything with flash would be an issue for the Revenge combo was all I was trying to say. And yes zandl is correct that their isn't a lot of flash creatures getting love in the standard format.

MtgGoldfish has a budget version of this deck that goes 5-0 against some of the top tier standard decks on his Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igolCbfllJM this is his first match with it.

Just played vs a version of your deck someone at my shop found online. Only deck that stopped me from getting first. Good option for side deck I discovered for you is Warping Wail. You can bring this card in when vs black decks go to side in Infinite Obliteration. You may want to put more colorless options in deck for mana if you choose to do this. Hope this was useful.

Cryptolith Rite It is really useful in this deck?

Yea cryptolith right definitely accelerates the auroras when you need to hit them as early as turn 6. Despite this They aren't key. I could see a deck that doesn't play them.

I don't know I 'm thinking of just replacing Cryptolith Rite them with what?

razelfark says... #15

You might want to consider Hedron Archive to replace Cryptolith Rite since you can sacrifice it later in the game for more draw when you don't need the mana.

peldriver, I use Cryptolith Rite as a way to produce extra mana to float before casting The Great Aurora. Since you are still in your main phase it is still usable.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a possible G/B variation?

Have you given any thought as to what will change when Eldrich Moon Releases? I believe this deck has a solid basis still; Though it may need to be buffed with the value from that set.

I've come back to thinking how I could use Embodiment of Insight as an alternate win con for this, and I think I've figured it out.

With the eldritch moon release, came a funny new red card, Harmless Offering. So by having the embodiment under your control, offer it to you opponent. Once that is done, exile it with Isolation Zone, since its now under your opponents control.and if the process works like i think it should, when you cast aurora the embodiment should come in before your lands hit the field.
