When I first saw Wulfgar of Icewind Dale I wanted to make a deck around him. I've liked the nature of multiplayer mechanics like 'Melee' since their release, but always want them to be stronger. When I saw Wulfgar, who makes Melee doubly effective, I was disappointed to see he was only RG, when the next strongest Melee commander, Adriana, Captain of the Guard, is WR, so naturally I wanted a commander who could run both of them and support the main mechanic of Wulfgar, which is triggers on attacks. That's where Gahiji comes in.

The deck is yet-to-be playtested, but the main goal is to be less political than the usual Gahiji decks, and focus my strategy on making a lot of small creatures who will be buffed when they swing.

Keep in mind this is a deck that wants to have Adriana and Wulfgar as the partners, but that's not possible unfortunately. I'm also not one to build a deck with insane power level, because I can't afford to build $1,000 decks, so it's generally avoiding cards $50 and up that I don't already own, like Parallel Lives for example.

I played around with making Wulfgar the commander of his own deck, which would work just fine, but the combination possibilities when Wulfgar gets access to white was too good to pass up.
