This deck has an amazing manabase but is still having identity issues.

I made this deck because I have a UG deck and wanted a home for my RBW cards that I wanted to play with. I like Tariel's win-con, fully acknowledging that it isn't the best in the Mardu wedge, but it's been fun to play for sure. Winning with commander damage is also totally viable in this shell, surprisingly.

Gameplay-wise I seem to lock down the board in a typical black-based control fashion, then try to win with powerful creatures that can win on their own, with Tariel for commander damage (to show you how grindy this thing can get), or one of the other beaters (Zurgo Helmsmasher, for example).

This deck can also combo out with Carrion Feeder or Ashnod's Altar + Thornbite Staff + Tariel, Reckoner of Souls , or Ashnod's Altar or Carrion Feeder + Karmic Guide + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.
