Oh hey! Do you want to play Magic the Gathering but spent all of your money buying a fursuit? Well, terrible lifestyle decisions aside this might be the deck for you! This is my variation on the Domain Zoo deck that pops around every once and a while, with this deck looking at being a bit more aggressive and less focused on cute Kor Skyfisher or Quasali pridemage plays. This deck despite technically being Naya runs no white cards whatsoever because 3 colors in a Pauper aggro deck is going to work about as well as expecting respect when pretending to be a dog. Instead, we focus entirely on running Nylea's Presence and the new Dominaria card Navigator's Compass to give the deck that basic land type synergy without losing aggressive tempo, with a singleton Plains in case we need to fetch a land that buffs our creatures. The deck primarily beats with Zoo veterans Wild Nacatl and Kird Ape which both represent a powerful and efficient beater, and Matca Rioters is too good to pass up as it represents a 3 mana 5/5 with a Nylea's Presence on the field. Similarly, Tribal Flames becomes an insane 5 damage burn spell, but otherwise is pretty bad so the deck only runs two copies. However, besides staple cards like Lightning Bolt, Burning-Tree Emissary and Rancor this deck does run Nyxborn Rollicker and Horned Kavu who are two spicy boys. Rollicker helps make our board edict proof as well as providing some nice buffs late in the game making our Nacatl's and Apes immune to Bolt, but also plays nice with Burning-Tree Emissary and Horned Kavu. Speaking of the big beefy boy Horned Kavu, Kavu plays nicely with Burning-Tree and lets us reuse Rollicker for the Bestow ability in the late game if we need it. Also, being a 3/4 body potentially on Turn 2 lets the deck do a really good Stompy impression. Overall, the deck is a pretty straightforward beatdown deck with a few cute synergies that makes it pretty engaging to play. Burn and other aggro decks are hilariously good match ups thanks to the incidental life gain that Compass gives the deck, allowing us to win races easier but the deck can be pretty slow to Black based control decks due to the deck not being great at swarming the board. Blue control decks typically bode better, as the threats in the deck are more efficient than the counter spells they play. Overall, if you enjoy the Zoo playstyle in a format like Modern this is the Pauper deck that will most closely replicate that experience.
