This was my standard deck until Innistrad block cycled out. I've added a few things here and there, and now id like to beef it up for modern!!

Champion of the Parish is an absolute beast. Has synergy with nearly every card in this deck. He's won me more games than i can remember. Turn one, Champion, turn two, Gather the Townsfolk, swing for 3.

Cartel Aristocrat and Skirsdag High Priest work lovely together, as i can sac tokens or a Doomed Traveler to get Spirit tokens on the latter's death, gain protection and swing, get a zombie from said Traveler if Xathrid Necromancer is on the board, and tap to get a 5/5 demon.

Angelic Overseer gives me some beefy flying protection while being a huge pain/beat stick with any humans on the battlefield. Real clean up hitter.

Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is just a huge jerk with more tokens and buffing emblems.

Lingering Souls, for flying guys, sac fodder, and flashback.

Tragic Slip is a given.

Orzhov Charm and Merciless Eviction are just kinda there in case everything else fails. despite only being one of's they are fairly important to comeback wins, particularly with Theros.
