I tried this deck out and after some testing I have few suggestions. I have no idea why you have more green than black you have about 4 different double black cards considering you'll want a black open when you cast Lotleth Troll. You may want to include Boon Satyr, I think he can fill some of the holes rancor left he goes great all of your guys and can finish games. He can be used defensively for at worse a 1 for 1. I'm also not sure about the skylasher I did feel like it does enough against enough matches, maybe Sylvan Caryatid im not sure here.

@ arcv2

Yeah I actually snagged two Boon Satyr during Prerelease and they may make good swaps for Rancor . Thanks for the thought. Skylasher rarely comes in. Any thoughts on replacements?

I personnally like the Mistcutter Hydra a lot for sideboard instead of the skylasher. I don't know how relevant the reach and flash are to you though.

Here's what Im testing out for the sideboard:

-4 Skylasher

-2 Pithing Needle

+2 Mistcutter Hydra

+3 Sylvan Caryatid

+1 Boon Satyr

I'm also testing Reaper of the Wilds for one of the top end 2 ofs in the deck

I'm probably going to drop the 4 Skylasher and move Witchstalker to four in the SB. Put in 2-3 Reaper of the Wilds or perhaps Boon Satyr as replacements. Need more testing. Removing Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord as well as he rarely makes an appearance. I guess Pithing Needle may move as well because it was there primarily to interact with 4cmc and higher planeswalkers and aetherling. Keeping it in just for a singular card seems not as useful. While the Mistcutter Hydra seems good, the blue fliers are usually the problem which is why I loved Skylasher . However it would appear to be a much better anti-blue deck card than Skylasher for sure.

Test it out and let me know how it all runs. I'm curious to see. Also, what are your thoughts on Hero's Downfall vs. Putrefy ? Keep them both in, or lessen Putrefy because HD does it all (more or less)?

I would rather have a Hero's Downfall in my hand but Putrefy is easier to cast. That said I think you could stand to cut Putrefy down to 3 for another creature.

Whats the thinking on Doom Blade over Hero's Downfall ? I would think you want Hero's Downfall instead of Putrefy

New updated deck + SB. SB still has 1 slot to fill. Need to acquire more Thoughtseize and Hero's Downfall before adequate testing can resume.

Just updating as per what I have in there now. Once I acquire the rest, I'll be making the suggested changes. Probably 4 Hero's, 3 Putrefy, 4 Abrupt, 3 D.Blade/Uprice.
