This is the so-far build for Golgari Elves. It isnt final by any means, since we dont have all of Origins yet.
Basic Rundown of the card choices and why
Gnarlroot Trapper
1 drop mana dork that can buff other elves. Always nice
Elvish Mystic Do I need to explain this?
Elvish Visionary I can draw a card and get a creature for 2 mana? Yay :D
Dwynen's Elite
MOAR ELVES!!! I get a token along with my 2 drop. Whats not to love?
Rakshasa Deathdealer
Mainly a filler card, bt a good 2 drop that I can hit with CoCo and add some good value to the deck
Shaman of the Pack A good chance at being a win-con with CoCo and Elite being in the deck. A 3/2 for 3CMC that pings my opponent for potentially a lot. I love this card
Nissa, Vastwood Seer
A CoCo-compatible 2/2 that fetches a land is already good in my book. Add in that she ahs a planeswalker form with a +1 helpful to the deck and I'm a very happy person :)
Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen
Only non-CoCo-compatible creature in here. If only it was 3... but I digress. 4 mana gets me a 3/4 that buffs my elves, has reach AND gives me lifegain, offsetting Trapper and Painlands.
Reclamation Sage Blow things up with a CoCo-compatible elf. Enough said, I think.
Collected Company Let's see... lots of creatures, almost exclusively 3CMC or under.... yup in goes the playset of CoCo NEXT!!
Ultimate Price
more a placeholder to give me a bit of removal. First card to go out when something new comes in from Origins.
Does the landbase really need explanation?
Mostly trying to avoid Theros and M15 aside frm what I call "Penny Cards" like Mystic, which wont cost enough that only having them for three months will matter.
(Survival of the Fittest is a placeholder for Evolutionary LEap, which I'm testing alongside Liliana, Heretical Healer
because why not)
