Update as of 12/13/24:

Commander is old stickfingers, and usually get him out by land 4. Depends on opening draw and if I can get a tutor in hand to move valgavoth or Achron to my graveyard. I try to not move all my strong creatures in at once in case of graveyard hate.

Based on how the deck has been playing I think need to add more opponent card/creature removal, card draw to get more into my deck. I’ve been struggling to get ramped up in time.

I normally play 1v1 with this deck with the occasional 3 & 4 player game.

Thank you everyone who has followed along on my journey in mtg and making my first deck! This deck started out as Death Toll Pre-con and now is something to be reckoned with. I hope to next year enter into my first casual tournament after I complete the last of the golgari land additions to maximize my mana ramp.

This deck is really fun to play with, so give it a playtest your friends and let me know!

Main strategy:

If I don't start with a tutor in my opening hand, (tutor to graveyard fill or card to hand) then I will try to bide my time and bring fingers out by turn 4 or 5 depending on what my opponent is doing. If they are progressing quickly then I hope to get a tutor and bring Achron out ASAP to help remove creatures and counter my opponent. If not incorporate creature removal/wipes to allow my deck to build up.

As the game progresses I hope to get conduit of the worlds, Phyrexian Tower or altar of Bahaal on to battlefield if I don't have one out yet. After that I will try to get Protean hulk on to the battlefield and use as sacrifice or creature block to pull all my 6 mana or less creatures out (sheoldred, obiliterator, massacre's wurm, kokusho, lord of the void, greenwarden of murasa) Once I pull them out, I'll start to fish for reanimate tutors and keep pulling Kokusho out of graveyard to instant life drain. Incorporating altar of Bahaal or shifting woodland (4 mana ability every turn) to copy Kokusho and get that life gain and opponent drain. Having conduit of the world out will allow me to continue to cast reanimate spells for graveyard causing a loop of reanimation per turn. While leveraging board wipes to keep opponent off balance. I try to avoid using fingers more than twice because I don't want to pull all my creatures out of my deck incase of graveyard hate and I lose because I have no creatures to attack with.

my win cons: - buried alive, entomb (other graveyard add cards early) pull valgavoth out of deck into graveyard and reanimate him. Having a high power by round 5. Leverage board wipes to enact his ability and take opponent creatures. After valgavoth get Achron or lord of the void out depending on where game is at. - endless loop of conduit of the worlds or sheoldred the whisper one on Kokusho bringing back each turn and then sacrifice. To get additional mana while producing creatures out there as blocker, or Phyrexian tower continuous sacrifice ability. - Board wipe opponent 4 times maxing out commander tax and leverage all creatures to win game through sheoldred flip ability of "The True Scriptures" - Utilize Phyrexian Obliterator ability and Inscription of abundance "choose your fighter" if opponent has very high powerful creature out to destroy all permanents - Tyrranax Rex Toxic 4 takes three attacks to end game, which is always fun - Voinclex Voice of Hunger is all you need out to slow the opponent way down, leveraging the Lord of the void, obliterator or achron with him end the game very quickly
