As a big fan of Steven Universe, I decided to make a tribute deck to the show. Seeing as Garnet is my favorite character out of them all, and writer for the show Matt Burnett said that Garnet would have the color identity of UR, I found the best way to represent her would be to use Tibor and Lumia as Sapphire and Ruby respectively.

The cards chosen represent some character, event, or place in the show. Sadly, the Pearl Medallion representing Pearl would literally do nothing in the deck, so I drew a red symbol on a piece of paper and stuck it in front of it and use it as a mountain. The only card in Magic that has an Amethyst in it is Thorn of Amethyst, which actually cripples our deck pretty badly, making it slightly thematic (but it also affects our opponents, so it stays).

As for the cards, some of them seem pretty obvious for what they represent (i.e. Sapphire Medallion being Sapphire's gem, threw in some alters of what the artifacts are supposed to be), but for the ones that aren't as obvious, here's a list of what they represent:

- Archetype of Aggression : Jasper
- Charisma : Nuff said (that and Charisma is just soooo good with Tib- er, I mean Ruby and Sapphire)
- Was swapped for Inexorable Tide, due to several things in our deck using counters (including the poison counters from our Kindergarten), and can represent the corruption
- Codex Shredder : Lion(?) (Honestly, this is just my pet card, it's in every deck I make. All of them. Even if it doesn't fit the theme)
- Commander's Sphere : A bubble
- Demolish : Garnet destroying the Homeworld warp pad
- Fabricate : Pearl (or even Garnet in one instance) taking out items she's stored in her gem
- Fire Diamond : Used to just be another instance of Ruby, but now represents Pink Diamond
- Galvonic Blast : Garnet having lightning based powers
- Grand Architect : Opal, due to the four arms being based at the shoulders (kind of a stretch, but Grand Architect is just great when you have a bunch of artifacts like this deck does)
- Hammer of Purphoros : Sardonyx's hammer
- Helm of Kaldra : I actually only intended to throw the Sword of Kaldra in this deck due to it's stupid interaction with Ruby and Sapphire, but then I thought, heck, why not just throw the rest of the Kaldra pieces in here. I was going to pass off the Sword and Shield as being Rose's, but then quickly realized that Rose doesn't have a helmet (not even in Pearl's flashback to her 'taking the hit for her'). So, even though I so badly wanted to make Rose Kaldra, I had to go with the Helm being Jasper's.
- Inferno Fist : Rocket fists, gooooo!
- Found an alternative in Runechanter's Pike, thanks TheTindell179!
- Into the Core : Drilling to the Cluster
- Izzet Charm : It has a gauntlet and lightning on it, sounds pretty Garnet to me.
- Jeskai Elder : Nanefua
- Liquimetal Coating : A gem 'spacesuit'. Plus, it goes very well with Shattering Pulse (horrifically, might I add) to actually blow up pesky enchantments and creatures.... and anything for that matter
- Loreseeker's Stone : It's... a stone, what do you want, it draws me cards and can be fetched by Treasure Mage... (kinda looks like the chamber in the temple that had the mural with Rose on it actually)
- Magus of the Unseen : Rose. How fitting that she steals rocks...
- Master of Waves : Lapis
- Neurok Stealthsuit : Another gem 'spacesuit', cept this one actually looks like it
- Otherworld Atlas : The Unfamiliar Familiar series
- Reality Shift : Say Uncle
- Scroll of the Masters : The Evil Spirit Scroll
- Silver Myr : A robonoid
- Steam Augury : Garnet burning the scroll (and Steven's broken phone)
- Student of Elements : Connie. I know the flying effect seems more up Steven's alley, but the student part just fits Connie much better
- Sword of Kaldra : Rose's Sword. Yes it doesn't look like it, but it works so well with Ruby and Sapphire, and lets be honest, any sword that wide that isn't a broadsword is reaaaaally difficult to find
- Swerve : Garnet redirecting lightning
- Time Reversal : Steven watching himself die many times
- Treasure Mage : Peridot (couldn't really find a green artificer...)
- Vandalblast : Sugilite wrecking the Communication Hub
- Willbender : Steven. I mean, he's even got silly wavy hair!
- Wurmcoil Engine : Centipeetle

That about does it for the card choices. If you think there are better fits for these kinds of cards, I'm open to any suggestions! I'm also looking for artists willing to help with altering some of these cards to match the show equivalent. My cousin and I worked together to draw the Ruby and Sapphire card to make it look like the original Tibor and Lumia, and have already made some of the artifacts from backgrounds I got from the Crewniverse's tumblr account (giving all credit to them of course). If you're interested, I make foil proxy cards and would gladly send you a copy of the card you alter as 'payment' for doing the alter; just contact me and we can work things out.
