Vault of the Archangel was in mind when I first started making the deck, but I thought having It might screw my mana around by not having the right colour needed, and most of the creatures have lifelink anyway so I'd only benefit half as much as I would normally.
Pillory of the Sleepless is pretty good. I might sideboard this...
Soul Link is just a more expensive Lifelink, isn't it?
Vindicate is sideboarded already, and Vish Kal is just too expensive imo.
Scrubland would be sweet if I could get my hands on a playset. Thanks for that. :)
And haha, thanks eutha anyway. :P

Ajani's Pridemate seems like a good fit. Angel's Mercy is a decent lifegain. Disciple of Griselbrand maybe?

This looks legit, +1. Check out my modern lifegain deck, deck:chalice-of-death-modern if you get the chance.

+1 for more girls playing MTG ::D
PS. Would take out the vampire nighthawk out - absolutely kickass card, but your deck seems mainly white, so a double black-mana card at 3 cmc MUST get stuck in hand sometimes? doesn't it? There might be other fitting flavorful stuff out there waiting for you :)

I play something like this Although he is slow to start, Ajani Goldmane is great If you can pull him off. With the vamps you should be able to do this.
Might want to throw in some of the soul sister

pookypuppy6: Ah, fair enough. That's interesting... I'll consider it, I'm not fully convinced its necessary, but it may be good to replace Edge of the Divinity or something. Pillory of the Sleepless is good, I'm just not sure what to take out for it. And I've also got all those cards except the Guildmade mainboarded. Haha
clamyd: Ajani's Pridemate is good in a lifegain deck, but hes better in a Soul Sister's build where there are a lot more instances of lifegain going on. This build is more aggro and pseudo-creature-life-drain. Angel's Mercy is too mana expensive for its use. Rest for the Weary can do more for half the mana, albeit being situational as opposed to guaranteed 7 life. The Disciple wouldn't be good as I want creature presence on the board.
radouf: Cheers mate (: That is a good point. As badass as he is, its not cool to be mana screwed and have a card sitting there 2-3 turns after it should've landed the field. I haven't done much playtesting as I still have to scrounge up all the cards, but I'll see what happens with some T/O playtesting.
LordofInfect: Ajani Goldmane is too slow. He's too easy a target, and I would prefer to be playing other 4 mana drops (Wall of Reverence, Cradle of Vitality) over the big scythe/halberd-wielding kitty. And if I go Soul Sister I would be changing the build, as I mentioned earlier.
Thank you all for the feedback so far, and the support for more girls playing. My girlfriend is even more interested in playing now. :P

@pookypuppy6 and STG Just so you know lifelink does stack. So if a creature has two instances of lifelink on it and it deals three damage you would gain 6 life. Soul Link is therefore unnecessary and Lifelink would be a lot better to put in.
February 13, 2012 12:08 p.m.
sparkman: That is incorrect.
702.14e Multiple instances of lifelink on the same object are redundant.
February 13, 2012 12:13 p.m.
Oh I guess you are right. They changed it with m10. But a cheaper card that does the same thing is Spirit Loop.
February 13, 2012 12:18 p.m.
Soul Link is better because it is not just having lifelink. Lifelink only gains you life when the creature deals damage. Soul Link also gains you life when the creature is damaged. Let's say it's on your attacking Baneslayer Angel and you are blocked by a Purity. After all damage is done, you will end up gaining 16 life. 5 for Baneslayer Angel's original lifelink, 5 for the extra "lifelink" on Baneslayer Angel because of Soul Link, and 6 because Purity did 6 damage to your Baneslayer Angel (the second half of Soul Link's effect).

@SexyNoodle90 stacking lifelink was removed on the release of M11. sorry to pop your bubble, bro.
Anyways, +1 because my girlfriend also plays magic... I made deck:roflstompy for her
February 13, 2012 2:18 p.m.
@NoSkillManiac It's not stacking lifelink, it's stacking an ability that does the same thing as lifelink, and lifelink. (They are 2 separate abilities, so you would gain life from both.)

+1, because my gf ALSO plays magic...I got her into it, too!She is going for a red/black vampire deck. :P
Either way, I recommend adding Soul's Attendant as well as Soul Warden, for more pain-in-the-ass lifegain.

turn 10? i got 86 life... heheheheheone problem, which is that this deck is destroyed by infect.Try sideboarding something against it. I know very few people actually play infect, but in wolf run ramp inkmoth nexus can be pumped a great deal and you can't do anything about it.
Why aren't you running ajani's pridemate? it is a good bomb that will allow you to deal a lot of c=damage. But, i guess this is more of a lifegain and chalice deck, not an ajani type cat deck.

Battlegrace Angel, Path to Exile, if you want to keep it modern, don't use Swords to Plowshares, Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Elspeth Tirel, Fetid Heath, Batterskull, Boon Reflection, Polluted Bonds, Necromancer's Covenant, Tribute to Hunger. I've got a whole EDH deck dedicated to lifegain, if you want to see it.

I would go for the Soul Sisters style deck. Using sets of Soul's Attendant and Soul Warden to pump up Ajani's Pridemate and Serra Ascendant for the win (Ajani's Pridemate can often get to become a 5/5 or stronger by turn 3, essentially making it a budget white Tarmogoyf). With cards like Lone Missionary and Kitchen Finks, it's not unimaginable that a single Ajani's Pridemate can win the game. Then, use cards like Oblivion Ring and Fiend Hunter for removal. You could throw in Baneslayer Angel for a late-game heavy hitter and Felidar Sovereign as an alternate win-con to your Ajani's Pridemates and Serra Ascendants.
