The goal of this deck is to scry a lot and dump a bunch of pump spells into a Flamespeaker Adept, keeping it alive with Gods Willing and Boros Charm. The deck runs Gods Willing for protection rather than a spell in its main colours because it can be used offensively, as it provides evasion and scry.
The deck is a work in progress, so feel free to criticise. In particular, I need help figuring out the mana base.
Born of the Gods additions:
Oracle's Insight
: Gives my creatures (particularly
Omenspeaker
s) something to do besides blocking, and helps me assemble the right spells to win while also being one of those spells, thanks to the scry.
Stormcaller of Keranos
: Provides another body, repeatable scry, and another source of damage, especially with haste.
Scouring Sands
: Kills Young Pyromancer and tokens from him, Master of Waves, and Brimaz (but not the master himself -- curse you, pro red!).
The rest of the sideboard:
Magma Jet: Formerly a maindeck card, it kills a lot of early threats while digging for finishers. Will come out for Izzet Charms once I finally get my hands on some.
Turn / Burn: On of the few was R/U has of just killing something, and even if I don't have the mana to fuse, it still lets my do stupid things like eating Desecration Demons with my
Omenspeaker
s. Or it's just a 2-damage burn spell. That works too.
Spellheart Chimera: A backup wincon in case of heavy removal.
Wear / Tear: Kills god weapons, Detention Sphere, Pacifism, Pithing Needle, Underworld Connections you name it.
