traceurling double grenade is awesome if you have enough creatures... Animosity can be awkward, but sometimes it just wins.

Yea I've won games where they thought 10 health was stable but I've also had alot of mulligans because two Grenades in the opening hand was too risky to take...I took out the Thunderous Wrath before playing with it much, how has it worked so far?

Two grenades is awesome. I won three games tonight because of them and two from wrath. Wrath is rare to see but a welcome sight. I would not throw away double grenades unless the rest was crap.

I would cut back to two grenades and one to two less shared animosity. Also maybe goblin king in the side board to make the blood moon's even better. check out my deck that is pretty similar http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/blood-goblins-please-comment/

Also, only one wrath b/c it is just so bad to have in your opening hand.

I may drop one of Shared Animosity because even though they do stack you don't need two. Thunderous Wrath is awesome. It sucks in the open hand but there is only a 20% chance of that happening. If I add another 3 drop I think Goblin Rabblemaster is better than Goblin King. I will think on it. This deck needs be as good as it can be before the Grand Prix in June.

February 19, 2015 9:13 p.m.

Whatever you do, don't drop the number of Grenades to less than 4. It's the best finisher this deck has, without a doubt.

I agree. I consider it the most important card in the deck. This deck needs more burn I think, not less.

i would consider dropping 1 or 2 Shared Animosity and the Thunderous Wrath for 3 Dragon Fodder. its the original Krenko's Command and isnt as expensive as Hordeling Outburst but most importantly it syncronizes better with the deck overall because it gives more Goblin Grenade fodder and when combined with Foundry Street Denizen Goblin Chieftain it performs better damage wise. it may not be as aggresive but it really fits in the deck well and compliments the idea of playing weenie tokens with haste and grenade which is pretty much the goal of this deck.i also prefer to splash green and white for Boros CharmDestructive Revelry sideboard becuase sideboard changes the game entirely. also if you want to compete in the grand prix i would STRONGLY recommend running as many fetch lands as you have mountains. yes you dont need fetch lands in mono red but paying a life to grab a mountain from your deck significantly decreases the chance of top decking into land and filters out all the mountains early game so you can topdeck into grenades and not mountains. for 18 lands id say the 2 caverns, 8 mountains, and 8 fetch lands (cheapest options would be 4x Bloodstained Mire 4x Wooded Foothills. of course they're expensive but it really helps deck filtering and the 1 life you pay is more than worth it because you should be killing them before they can take your life down to problematic levels since thats the entire point of mono red decks. and it also makes splashing colors 100x easier because each fetch land is a pseudo copy of Sacred Foundry or Stomping Ground so youd only need 1 or 2 shock lands for an effective splash to improve sideboard potency.

Fetch Land thinning being significant is a myth and fetch lands should not be used unless your running them with shocks as the thinning does not show worthwhile effects until turn 10+ and at that point goblins should have already finish the game a several turns back or they have already lost. :3

February 21, 2015 3:43 p.m.

which is why you splash white for Boros Charm sideboard at very least. it can double strike Foundry Street Denizen deal 4 damage to the face or negate a board wipe with indestructible :3

February 21, 2015 5 p.m.

turn 1 foundry street denizenturn 2 guide loyalist swing for 6turn 3 goblin chieftain swing for 10turn 4 dragon fodder/krenko's command/warmarshal swing for 14 and then boros charm on the 4/2 denizen to bring it up to 18 swing

and thats assuming you had shit luck and didnt have a grenade in your hand and they arent blocked but 34 damage turn 4 is kinda hard for a seige rhino to heal through

February 21, 2015 5:07 p.m.

or just boros charm/grenade/lightning bolt. its more of a sideboard card because it has the utility of board indestructibility while still doing the necessary massive damage via double strike or 4 damage for 2 mana, its kinda a staple in burn right now and goblins can abuse the double strike feature far better than burn. also sorry for klunkiness on the last one apparently the return key doesnt work

While I too love Goblin Grenade, it is terrible against twin, control, and what's left of delver since a counter spell effectively two for ones you (a Remand becomes creature removal). It feels like having four of them mainboard against that many popular archetypes in competitive modern is a bit much.

Also, to combat both Siege Rhino and twin you need at least 3 Combust in the side board. R/W burn is a big deal and having a couple Dragon's Claw can help. I only mention this because you said you wanted to go to a grand prix.

Vs. creature decks consider Dolmen Gate for the side board. You should split your krenko's up with dragon fodder just to avoid surgical extraction and the like, and also relic of progenitus is better than grafdigger's cage for the card draw, along with more delve/goyf hate.

Why not splash black for Spike Jester and the possibility of black sideboard cards?

Ok so my LGS meta is light on Affinity, what would you recommend replacing Shattering Spree with(or keep it anyways for other MUs?) also what is your sideboard suggestions vs GR Tron

Oh, and forgot to ask what're your sideboard preferences vs Abzan?

Also, what's your opinion on running 4 Blood Moons, and do you think Relic of Progenitus or Grafdigger's Cage is better?

Needs more testing, but I might even go down to two Shared Animosities, I've already cut one down to three...it's an amazing card when it works but the amount of times it's been on the field with only 2 goblins or otherwise a dead card has been too much...thinking of slotting in 4 Spike Jesters, and then adding in Bloodstained Mires, Blood Crypts, Auntie's Hovels, some Swamps...just need to figure out the ratio cuz of Blood Moon...

I love the deck theme, especially since it looks playable. I am building something similar with twin as an additional win condition. How do you do you do versus control and other fast burn decks?

How do you feel about splashing in white to include Boros Charm instead of Krenko's Command, and siding in some spot removal if necessary? For 2 mana Boros gives you two options for a finisher, and one option to protect your board state.

Running Blood Moon with Spike Jesters in the board is not as difficult as it seems, since I often sideboard out the Spike Jesters if I am attempting to Blood Moon my opponent anyway. However, it gets difficult if you are adding cards to your sideboard - like Rakdos Charm and Rain of Gore. I changed over to fetches and added a single Swamp to the land base when I was concerned with this, but Dismember is less affected by Blood Moon (Phyrexian mana)... along with Spellskite (if you're into that).

Mardu Scout is another option (two red mana rather than red and black), since it is an evasive Spike Jester - but it doesn't have haste unless you cast it with Dash.

Now that Goblin Piledriver is modern legal, why not cut the four Krenko's Command and put in a playset of Piledriver?
