Creature (1)

This overwhelming beast of a deck is great for casual and multiplayer games. The stud muffin of this deck is Dungrove Elder as opponents generally won't have a way to kill it, thus allowing it to run havoc all over their candy asses!

Need mana ramp? Cards like Llanowar Elves, Sakura-Tribe Elder and Harrow allow you to get the necessary lands you need to win the game! ALSO Sakura-Tribe Elder and Harrow can provide combat tricks for Dungrove Elder as they can fetch you more forests at INSTANT SPEED!

Opponents have removal? Well I could care less! Dungrove Elder has hexproof, Thrun, the Last Troll has hexproof, and all the other pimp magnets in the deck (Primeval Titan, Thragtusk, Obstinate Baloth, etc...) do stuff when they come into the battlefield so you can tell your opponents to kiss your ass with their removal spells!

Think Dungrove Elder is bad because it doesn't have Trample? Yes, having a creature that literally becomes a 20/20 in some games but doesn't have trample IS A CONCERN, but luckily cards like Rancor and Kessig Wolf Run give it the option to become a boomstick and an absolute nemesis to your opponent!

Need a win condition? There are 2 big ways to win with this deck:

  1. Primeval Titan allows you to search your library for 1 Kessig Wolf Run and 1 of Stomping Ground or Cinder Gladefoil, this allows you to use Kessig Wolf Run and add 5+ damage & trample per turn to your creatures!

  2. Putting a Rancor on Dungrove Elder or Thrun, the Last Troll will usually get you there over 3-4 turns.

MVP of the deck is Green Sun's Zenith because it allows you to essentially have 8 Dungrove Elder in your deck. It can also tutor for other win conditions such as Primeval Titan or can search for situational cards such as Sylvan Primordial, Thragtusk or Acidic Slime!

Good Against: Removal based decks and aggressive decks.

Bad Against: Wrath effects and cards that make you sacrifice creatures.

Hopefully Dungrove Elder will get 'er done every game and prove that it's still a viable MTG card!
