Hey Jake! Its been a long time!

Recently my brother and I bought a box and pulled some nice profit (no arid mesas though) and I was thinking about a tempo list. A list that has removal and keeps a effiecent hand. So then I whipped this baby up.

It uses Read the Bones and Abzan Charm as card draw engines and Den Protector (he's faster than Greenward) to buy back my wanted cards. Emeria Shepherd also helps get my Charms and my removal back to my hand.

In the early turns, this list is focused on removal. I pack 13 removal spells. And 4 wipes. Ultimate Price is helpful with my early turns of basic removal, then Ruinous Path is used later, to make a 2 for 1 trade, kill something I don't like and make a Elemental. Dromoka's Command are specifically for bumping up my Walker or another Big creature and eat another smaller one, or for my walker, trade into it to get my thopters. Stasis Snare is my new [banishing light] which is also good early and late game.Abzan Charm is good against the late game opposing cards, and killing annoying Hangarbacks.

My wipes include 2 Quarantine Field and 2 Planar Outburst, and I like Quarantine Field better for being specific and it beats opposing Hangarbacks and any pesky Ulamogs (we did pull Ulamog out of the box!). Moving on the creature package...

My critters consist of mainly late game players, Siege Rhino being the exception. Since, he is my main turn 4 play and is quite important to stop anything in its way. Hangarback is awesome, says okay to wipes, can get bigger and meaner, and has late and early game properties. Den Protector is good at getting my removal and my card draw back and Emeria does the same. Tasigur is for the late game or after wipes. He eats up my past critters and removal when my wipe was castes, and makes him easier to play. But he is still shakey, I honestly don't know if he is cut out for this list.

Overall, this list is about killing dudes, then keeping the hand full, and then drop the big meanie to win.

Can't really argue with this list! Nice.

Would you mind having a look at my new Atarka Red brew? Here is the link. I'm putting it together for this week's FNM.

Good to hear from you again bro!

Hey man! Awesome deck. I like that you used the new mana to your advantage in this somewhat temur white or jeskai green deck! I would recommend Rattleclaw Mystic for fixing or maybe Beastcaller Savant. I also would suggest you drop the Dig Through Times because double blue is hard on a four color deck, even with our mana as it is. As well as Radiant Flames and Dispel because while those cards are amazing, those are rather specific to certain match ups. This can be good in some cases, but it doesn't give you deck a grounding point to come back to. It tries to answer all decks in the main board. I think that those two cards belong in the sideboard. Also since this looks like a pretty tempo build, I would recommend some morphs and maybe even Dragonlord Ojutai. Over all, I love the concept, but I think it's a bit all over the place. That's just me though, and my opinion is second to yours since its your deck.

You could also run Kiora, Master of the Depths. I think that would be a good use of your green.

Thanks for all the comments! Sadly, I missed Game Day, but went to a FNM to test the previous list and finally whipped up this list in the lab.

I like the use of counter spells and removal, and a TON of the creatures were really boring and didn't do much. Drawing a removal of counter was more relevant than a creature. That's why I went to more spells, less critters.

Mandrills is my Tasigur of some sorts and is a late game opportunity to dumb a grave while supplying a body.

Thanks Jake! I'm mimicking Jeskai Black variants to a Green style and am right now looking for reviews... Going to FNM for a test run on Friday as well!

nice, beginning to look quite similar to my list 4 color midrange. Keep us posted on how it goes on game night and i would consider a Jeskai Charm over the 4th savage or 1 of the Dragonmaster Outcast. +1 from me =)
