Spectra Ward makes it unblackable so its great for mid to late game

20-lands cannot support 5-drops, as I said. Also, games against decks like Control, Devotion, Abzan/Mardu Mid, and anything with boardwipes NEED to end before Turn 5-7, where End Hostilities and Duneblast come to play. Spectra Ward is a good card, just a tad too slow to work in a tactic like this. Might consider it in the future, if the meta shifts to aggro, though.

Now that I look at it, the Eidolon hasn't been doing much at all. Will try that.

Return to the Ranks wouldn't really work against Anger of the Gods because if your creature dies from it then it gets exiled. therefore it doesn't go to the graveyard.

Oh, well, Drown is more into the meta than anger anyway.

Vanguard of Brimaz was tested multiple times; it was just sided out way too much because of all the Drown in Sorrow/Anger of the Gods decks. Brimaz, on the other hand... I want it, but I can't quite afford it just yet... and I'm sort of on the fence whether Brimaz getting in the way of Turn 3 Urd is worth it or not....

Why don't you have Seeker of the Way in the main board?

Maybe a Fabled Hero or two? He's one of the best 3 Cmc beaters out there in standard and as far as I know hes pretty cheap to keep within budget.

Seeker of the Way isn't mainboard due to not being a Soldier, but he still has his uses in aggro matchups. Lagonna, on the other hand, is pretty much a dead card in the wrong matchups (control and midrange decks outside of Abzan).

I tried him out once in this deck; he gets in the way of the curve; cause you want to be playing an anthem effect on Turn 3-4. By the time you can play it without hampering your curve, you are already winning, or have already won.

Got it. Fabled Hero would be good. 1 or 2 of them.

As I told someone earlier, I like the idea of a double-strike Soldier, but your Turn 3 will be devoted to an anthem effect like Phalanx Leader + Heroic, Obelisk of Urd, or Launch the Fleet + Heroic if you already have a Leader down. By Turn 4, you will want to play Eidolon as bestow or Launch the Fleet + Heroic on Phalanx Leader. Most times, you will be playing it Turn 5, at which point it wouldn't help enough, as you are either dying to a boardwipe, or have already won at that point, which is why it's sort of non-synergistic in this deck.

With FRF, more white aggro cards might come out, at which point I will try a straight non-tribal WW.

I personally think that you should run Feat of Resistance over Ephemeral Shields and add Fabled Hero for more threat. Other than that I understand the Budget.

Feat > Epheremal is something I'm still thinking of, as the big difference is End Hostilities protectedness. Fabled Hero is looking slow for me personally. You have priority plays on Turn 3-4, which means Hero is on Turn 5. By then, it's overkill.

And I didn't mean this to be budget. it just ended up being budget.
