I think you should replace 4x Ephemeral Shields with 4x Ajani's Presence. It's cheaper to cast and you can use it on more than one creature if you have enough mana

If ur running soldiers u need Preeminent Captain to cheat even more soldiers out of ur hand speed it up a bit also Fabled Hero one or two of wouldn't go amiss.

Also Paragon of New Dawns would be a nice finisher to get your guys further ahead.

Preeminent Captain suffers severe speed problems despite its potential, and is a lightning rod for removal. General barely fits here cuz he has immediate effect of the board state. Fabled suffers similar problems.

Paragon looks like a good idea though, will see.

Deicide or Reprisal sideboard?

Why not swap out Pacifism with Banishing Light it's only 1 more mana and can hit more then Just creatures and can deal with any pesky gods to an extent

Also I know it's budget but in any mono deck I think it's a good idea to run at least 1 or 2 of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyxfor a little extra mana, also if your running Brimaz Devouring Light might not be a bad edition specially with the vigilance him and his tokens have

Also I like the snapcaster but if you run him to deal with corser you should swap them or some of them for Erase it's cheap and easy enchant hate also with so many instant and sorcerys you should consider Myth Realized it's something incase you keep topdecking non creature and a lot of of cards put a counter on it including phalanx leader if you heroic trigger when it's a creature it keeps the counter when it turns back into an enchant again myth isn't cheap ATM but still a solid idea for. Mono white soldiers or not.

Alex.moellmer: What I like about the Snarecaster is that it is non-selective when it comes to slowing down your opponent's walls. I compare it to Imposing Sovereign from last Standard. Erase though, will find a spot in this sideboard if enchantments turn out to be really big this Standard.

Also, Myth Realized looks good on paper, but I think it'd get in the way of your T1-T4, which is mostly devoted to building and strengthening your board state. If you play it later on in the game against decks like control... well, let's just say I would in that case rather be casting Mastery of the Unseen.

How have you found 4 Anafenza, I would be worried about drawing her too often?

If you were to remove a couple what would you side in?

tubbitommi: Thanks for taking some time to go through this deck! I find that she works very similarly to the way the first Anafenza works in Abzan: She is a lightning rod for removal, and she is very powerful if left unchecked, thus you want to be drawing into her almost every game. Drawing multiples is fine with all the removal Standard is SO saturated with these days. I think I'd only side her out in the Green Devotion matchups, where the Snarecaster would be sided in.

Radiant Purge and Surge of Righteousness are excellent White tech cards for the Side..

Blades_Of_Autumn: Radiant Purge is something I've been considering for a while now. As for Surge of Righteousness, I think I may have just found the tool I needed to win the damage race against Red Deck Wins. I will find a way to put it in. Thank you for your time and help!

I feel like more Brimaz can't hurt just for a more powerful late game.

bijschjdbcd: I find Elspeth to be a bit winmore, because by the time you get to a point where you can cast it, you should've won already or are already way too behind for it to make a difference. More commonly, it becomes a dead card. Though now that you mention it, maybe removing the Shieldmates in favor of maxing-out Brimaz might be a good call. I'll test around it.

Really, we have Preeminent Captain in standard, the best soldier lord ever (debatable) and you are not playing it as a 4-of? And despite its manacost, the third best soldier in Standard after captain and brimaz right now is High Sentinels of Arashin, which is a super underrated card that will go well in this deck.

Boza: The problem I have with Preeminent Captain is that he forces us to overextend on board, giving the deck more problems against control decks and Abzan decks that run wraths/Drown in Sorrows. Arashin might be something to consider, if I could find another card that reliably anthems the counters to everything on the board. (Ajani Steadfast is not what I'm looking for.)

If your goal is to play Obelisk asap, that already requires you to overextend on the board. All wraths are 5 mana at least (drown is not really that relevant vs you - the big threats survive), so you can see them coming from a mile away.

I'd like to see some number of Valorous Stance in your 75. It helps a lot against the GW/GR devotion decks that are running around, and can help against Abzan lists by saving your dudes.

I think you're probably in the market for one or two more anthem effects, especially if you're concerned about overextending. Some number of Spear of Heliod, Hall of Triumph, and/or Dictate of Heliod could be useful.

I'm also not convinced Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx does a whole lot for you in this deck. You don't really have any payoff for the mana. In order to get any significant amount of mana from it, your hand will likely be empty (or almost empty), which means you'll have nothing to cast. I suppose Launch the Fleet, Ajani's Presence, and Return to the Ranks might be enough to justify its inclusion...
