Revisiting my first commander with a fresh eye and a lot more experience; time to see if I can make it sing again.

Lands: 18 basics, 2 basic fetches, 12 duals, 2 mono taplands, Command Tower, Skarrg.
MDFC Lands: 2 dual, 1 green, 1 red.

The most common way to win with this deck is overrunning our opponents with Overwhelming Stampede or End-Raze Forerunners. To that end, we can go wide with token-makers from the 99, or convert Ulasht into a bunch of saprolings and then flicker/recast it. Ulasht will usually be the big creature that Stampede is looking for, but smart opponents won't let Ulasht stick around, so other creatures in the 99 can fill this role, such as Agitator Ant. Other ways to win include commander damage (using cards like Runes of the Deus) and direct burn (using cards like Fiendlash and Chandra's Ignition). We can also clean up the board using Ulasht's damage ability with Basilisk Collar.

Ulasht will rarely come out on turn 4. It should ideally come out as at least an 8/8, and occasionally it doesn't need to come out at all. All the RG creatures give Ulasht two counters each, so they were chosen even when other spells might have been stronger in a vacuum. The best spells will enable Ulasht to come in with as many additional counters as the spells themselves cost, such as Grumgully, the Generous which gives it 3 counters, and Wort, the Raidmother which gives it 6. Both also contribute further to the gameplan, so they're the gold standard for the deck.
