Maybeboard

This version of Talrand is designed for 3-5 players with a toolbox feel. It is NOT a polymorph deck and instead challenges and rewards the pilot. It will always give you a shot to win and allows for fun, interactive games.

It can be complex like most mono Blue decks but it is simple enough in theory. Typical play patterns for this deck in multiplayer games include making sure you hit every land drop early using your cheap card draw to do so. Get your early ramp artifacts out as the deck has a minor artifact sub-theme with payoffs later in the game. You should not draw a lot of attention to yourself by countering a lot unless the spells you are countering DIRECTLY impact your ability to play or unfairly impact your board more than anyone else.

Begin to generate drakes as quickly as possible and then protect your win-cons for a late game coup. At that point, you should attempt to outdraw your opponents and begin to counter/bounce more aggressively for the win.

The deck can generate infinite mana and drakes with Talrand out and Dramatic Reversal under an Isochron Scepter and a few mana rocks running. It can also shoot down opponents with the Aetherflux Reservoir very easily. Karn constructs can be quite powerful late game and should not be overlooked as a way to punch or block larger threats.

Feedback, responses, advice and constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
