Increase Ramp, Evasion and Protection —Oct. 9, 2024

  • Overwhelming Stampede - Great win-more card but I've found myself with just a few creatures and not able to make enough damage without losing before my next turn.
  • Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury - Toolbox but hard to keep it on board; specially when players have seen the deck working before. Most cases it has been a 5 mana for a dork or two before I can ultimate. If used to remove an enchantment or artifact it is kind of losing your turn on that.
  • Tooth and Nail - Reduce tutors to make deck a bit more unpredictable; if that's not your way of playing then don't remove tutors :)
  • Tendershoot Dryad - Great token maker but usually get targeted as soon as it hits the board.
  • Saryth, the Viper's Fang - Great protection and ability but does not

In

  • Hulking Raptor - Ramp and power matters; so double ramp to get Galtha out.
  • Runadi, Behemoth Caller - If on board it will give Ghalta +8 and haste when casted. It is also a dork so kind of ramp. Want to try it on a deck and this looks like the best place for it. There are 12+1 creatures with 5 or greater cost.
  • Wayward Swordtooth - Ramp, power matters; and also replaces ascend from the removed Tendershoot Dryad.
  • Spike Weaverfoil - Sometimes when swinging with Ghalta I was open for attacks so bringing 3 fogs, at least, if not targeted is great. Can move those counters at instant speed if needed for Commander damage.
  • Trailblazer's Boots - Evasion for Ghalta in near all games.
