Your deck is called Soul Harvest, but doesn't run Harvester of Souls or Soul of the Harvest. Seems a tad misleading. ;)
The deck looks OK, you may want to try to get some more value from your one-offs (cut Murder for Malicious Affliction, etc.) and your mana-fixing looks a bit light/nonexistent.

I noticed you run the boonweaver giant combo. If you just want to combo out and win on the spot then a lot of these cards are unnecessary. You'd prioritize tutors like Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor and Worldly Tutor, cheap reanimation spells like Necromancy and Dance of the Dead, and cheap sac outlets like Carrion Feeder above all else.
Either way I'd cut at least 3 cards for lands. Bane of bala ged, elderscale wurm, and nissa seem pretty mediocre.

metalevolence, The cards you've listed are ones that I am looking for right now :p my goal deck is the one that's linked in the description, so if you have any ideas with that deck,I'd like to hear them too.
However, despite the fact that I have the combo, it's not the knot way I want to win. I don't want to be "that" guy with "that" deck, so I don't want to focus too much on that combo.

I think infinite combo is lame too. I would consider cutting boonweaver giant if that's how you feel, because that's really all he does. Also karmic guide is pretty mediocre if it's not being used as a combo piece. 5 mana for a worse Animate Dead? Bleh.
I'd have left a similar comment on your other deck: cut everything that doesn't help you combo, or slow down/disrupt opponents' combos. If you don't want to combo off, then focus on specific synergies to build around, play efficient cards and make sure you have enough mana.
Seriously play lands.

34 lands is doing well for me and the combo will remain as a contingency in case things go south. Also, karmic guide has been Hella useful on her own. Just recently I used Reanimate as a away to get her, sun Titan, and eternal witness out for use mana and 5 life. Karmic stays even if I decide not to combo off. However, reveillark will hit the sideboard. Boonweaver will probably stay in as well because pattern of rebirth is the only aura in the deck and patterning out ulamog (especially while podding for ashen rider) is enough to keep him in the deck

You realize that in the example you just said karmic guide didn't do anything? You could have just targeted sun titan with reanimate. It saved you 1 life and you got a chump blocker with echo. Is that really worth drawing it instead of some other card?
Sometimes you can get hella value out of karmic guide with something like birthing pod, but most of the time adding a 2/2 body to Necromancy just isn't worth the extra mana. It would be easier to capitalize on if it didn't have echo but even then i'd rather play a cheaper spell. Also, it can only pull creatures from your graveyard. You're telling me you'd pass up on the chance to grab a juicy Consecrated Sphinx or Diluvian Primordial or whatever from an opponent's yard to get a chump blocker with echo?
34 lands + 4 ramp spells is not enough. That's the equivalent of a 60 card deck running 20 lands and 2-3 ramp spells. And you run a bunch of cards at 5, 6, 7+ mana.
I would definitely rather hit land drops than draw cards like nissa voice of zendikar, elderscale wurm, flip liliana, bane of bala ged, etc.
Good luck with your deck.

I see your points. I'll take all of that into consideration once I get the cards you've suggested. Thanks for the insight!

Your deck here is a mess, double cards, cards in the sideboard that are already in the main deck, 40 card sideboard wtf, double cards in your deck list, fix that it'll be easier to read.
Concerning the deck, you definitely need to add Thalia, Heretic Cathar and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben.
August 23, 2016 4:34 p.m.
Is Sheoldred, Whispering One overkill/redundant in your deck? As far as I see, another reanimator engine is never one too many. Also she brings some control, and your mana curve allows more high-end spells. Awesome when Tooth and Nailed, too. :D
You have 2x Fyndhorn Elves, by the way

Shane.Allen sorry for the doubles. Like I said in my description, though, my sideboard is an acquire board. It's pointless to have a sideboard because in pod, you play one game and then move on to the next group. I decided to use that section to give my audience a better view. I'll make custom categories later.
Busse I really like sheoldred though. Especially with my plan to move into stax. Any thoughts on cards to take out for it?

Hello, I am the resident emissary from the Competitive EDH subreddit and I have a few questions before I say anything:
What is your budget?
Since you claim to be competitive, what's your meta like?
Once you answer these questions, I'll be glad to give my input for the deck.

Coinman1863, I technically have no budget, but this is a very slow work in progress so it'll be a while before I gather my super expensive lands.
My metta is constantly trying to better each other and use decks like prossh aggro tokens with the Murderous Redcap combo and Craterhoof Behemoth, there's eventually going to be a Kaalia of the Vast deck, and there is currentl a mono blue and a mono green deck in the group. However I don't really want to conform to the meta because I eventually want to take this to pay-to-play tournaments.

Manabase aside, I see some big cards that need to be added:
Survival of the Fittest: All the creatures whenever you want.
Loyal Retainers: pitch big legendary creature to anything, get it back for 3 mana and can be recurred with sun titan.
Living Plane: wins with Norn.
Without doing a complete revamp of your deck, this is the best I can offer you. Hope this Helps! If you have any questions, just ask, I'll be glad to answer them.

As you have some mana dorks, maybe I'd risk taking one land out.
Or if you want to stay purist, swap Shriekmaw for Sheoldred, Whispering One. The Shriekmaw is highly overrated, and you have better and wider answers to pesky creatures such as Swords to Plowshares/Path to Exile.
August 24, 2016 2:55 a.m.
For removal, I would highly recommend running Anguished Unmaking, Vindicate / Maelstrom Pulse and possibly Utter End. Also, I've bbe na big fan of Noxious Revival over Regrowth as it can provide graveyard hate in certain circumstances.
You should also look into running Blasting Station / some of the other sac altars (Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar, Altar of Dementia). They can provide a very efficient win condition.

eeriekiller says... #19
Busse, I completely disagree. Shriekmaw is a repeatable doom blade every turn if I need it. The only reason path and swords are still in there is because they're arguably the best removal spells in the game. I much prefer creature alternatives to spells, even if they may be a bit "worse" because karador makes them so much better (see Caustic Caterpillar v. Naturalize). It also helps get my commander out, which is becoming more and more important as my deck leans further to creatures.
enpc, I don't really need instants and instanst or sorceries dedicated to removal because of Shriekmaw, Grave Pact, Caustic Caterpillar, and cards like that. I really don't like Blasting Station because it's not free, but the other alters will probably make it into the deck.
August 24, 2016 1:35 p.m.
The issue with having all your removal on a stick is that it means most of it will only be sorcery speed. Currently you only have 4 instant speed responses to problems and more than that, 2 of them can only hit creatures. You mentioned that one of the decks you have issues with is a Prossh deck, which I'm going to presume is running Food Chain. Currently you only have two ways of dealing with food chain at instant speed (Short of using multiple cards) and only one of those two can blind side your opponent.
I get that you're trying to optimise creature based removal but honestly your best bet is to diversify your removal suite.
Also, while Blasting Station isn't free, it in and of itself is a win condition with quite a few of your recursion engines.

enpc I guess I never took that bit into consideration. anguished unmaking and possibly Utter End will make it in, but I'm leaving sorceries to my creatures. I'll consider Blasting Station too. I didn't read the last bit of text about untapping it. Now I understand why everyone loves it lol

Like whats going on here. I feel your pain with the maybe board tho. I have way too many cards that can go in the deck.
Love the deck - I just started playing Karador is a commander perhaps you can take a look at mine and see whats up over there - i would greatly appreciate it. I used to play recurring survival in the early 2000's in vintage, and this deck seems to play the most similar in the EDH format. Im so glad i chose this over meren

First of all, this deck looks like a blast to play, and i may have to take a page or two from your book for my own. That being said, I do see some potential improvements, budget permitting.
Firstly, I see some better option in your removal package. While i see the definite value of Beast Within, I personally see Anguished Unmaking as superior. You can still play it at instant speed at the same mana cost, but it exiles instead of destroys. Sure, you also lose three life, but exiling is an incredibly powerful effect.
Staying in removal, I would consider swapping Day of Judgment for Toxic Deluge. Not only does it get around indestructible, but it costs less mana. Granted, it costs life to take care of business, but in a combo deck, your life total is a resource. You start with 40 for a reason.
Still somewhat staying in removal, but only loosely: while the Living Plane/Natural Affinity + Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite play is cute and can win games on its own, i feel like the prior slot could be better filled by a card with more than one use. Animate Dead adds to your low 2 drop count, adds utility, as well as the "loop" with Sun Titan + Karmic Guide to recur a creature of your choice every turn.
Moving on from removal now, and on to your missing Sol Ring. Unless your playgroup has a house ban on it, it should be in every commander deck in my opinion. I would probably cut one of the Llanowar Elves clones if it were my deck.
If you are wanting to play the Triskelion combo with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, a more efficient version is with Necrotic Ooze, Triskelion, and Phyrexian Devourer. This combo is super easy to assemble with Buried Alive, since Trike and Devourer have to be in the yard for this combo to work as intended, and Karador, Ghost Chieftain makes it crazy easy to play the Ooze.
That's all for now. Let me know if you have any counterarguments or comments about my comments. Also, I'd appreciate if you took a look at my deck: HATE FOR EVERYONE! (Except me, obviously)

bbr15 thanks for the upvote! I've actually been considering dropping beast within for unmaking. Still working on the decision, but it's becoming more and more likely.
As you said, life total rarely matters to me so I think I will swap DoD for toxic deluge.
As for mike-trike I think I'll keep Mike because he is just extremely good on his own, but I'm 100% for getting abother combo in there. Thanks for the idea.
Yes for the sol ring. I went through a phase where I thought mana dorks were better for recursion and sac fodder for Grim Haruspex but I was just wrong lol.
I am looking to add more 2-drop stuff like animate dead but I will likely be keeping affinity/living plane. Like you said, it can just win on its own and I'm not very keen on taking out win cons like that, especially when they're just really fun to use.
Once again, thank you!
January 4, 2017 3:33 a.m.
If you were looking to add Anguished Unmaking, cutting Vindicate over Beast Within would be the better call. Beast is an amazing card, hits any permanent and the 3/3 token is usually never relevant compared to the harder costed sorcery speed of Vindicate.

I do see the illegal Protean Hulk. That is first to go when I get cards from the acquire board. I am not taking this to tournaments until it's gone
