what can I say, I learned from the best.

I took a few pages out of your book...maybe to many pages. I am getting bogged down with combinations.

I take it you're going zombie tribal? You've got a lot of lords and tribe effects, and a few unrelated/generic goodstuff options. Urborg is a good combo with Filth/Zombie Trailblazer. Recurring Nightmare is banned in Commander by the way.

Fuck me, really? When did they git rid of Recurring Nightmare?

Yes, zombie tribal/reanimate. I am trying to make the deck full of functionality but I feel like I am making a mistake somewhere.

Will have to re work the reanimation part.

Some minor things that stand out to me without getting too deep in:-Solemn Simulacrum/+ Burnished Hart. Both are good, but Hart is better.-Grave Pact; no need for both Pact and Dictate, and I like Dictate better (flash makes for a nasty surprise)-Maalfeld Twins; they're cute, but in EDH, they simply don't give you enough for the slot.

You can cut a couple of tutors; 3 is probably the best number. 5 seems excessive. Entomb is the single best tutor a reanimator deck can ask for.

I also think it's worth including some ways to remove noncreature permanents like enchantments, and that means artifacts. Spine of Ish Sah, Nevinyrral's Disk, etc.

I basically looked at TwoMagicDudes deck and adjusted it for reanimation.

Although I am really only running 3% reanimation.

I am sticking to sad robot cause I traded for one from you and I don't know where the stupid hart is at the current moment.

The Maalfeld Twins essentially give you six zombies with gisa, so I looked at as six for six cmc. I could cut and add more land and other stuff.

This deck is really ten cards over, and really only three tutors?

See if your free this Sunday or Saturday and we can run through the numbers.

As someone who has been playing with the Gisa deck for a while now, I will say I definitely think you should keep both Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos. People do not like letting either of those enchantments stay on the battlefield for long, so having both gives you more consistency and the ability to bounce back after enchantment removal.

The only thing I think you're missing is a way ensuring that your zombie tokens get to do some damage, since they have no evasion on their own. I use Eldrazi Monument and Dragon Throne of Tarkir. Akroma's Memorial is also great.

TwoMagicDudes: I took your advice and put in Eldrazi Monument into the deck.

So far the proportions seems alright, but I need actual play testing to do any more work on this deck. This is the best I could Ponder.

Now I have to go hunt half of these pieces down for the deck.

Eldrazi Monument is a good choice. That card wins games.

I would throw in Korlash, Heir to Blackblade. Maybe remove Tombstone Stairwell for it?

obitus says... #11

Vergil_Redgrail, why do you like Korlash, Heir to Blackblade so much?

Is it because you can sacrifice him for a large amount of tokens?

January 14, 2015 10:46 p.m.

Gerswinn says... #12

Korlash is nice because as a mono-black deck with some land-fixing/ramp, he can get quite huge, and has regen. As a zombie, he gets all the benefits from your lords, and while I normally avoid big vanilla beats in EDH, you have a number of ways to make him evasive for a potential 1-shot kill.

I will have to look to ordering him the next time I order cards.

It makes sense, but I figure with two already big beat sticks, why would another one matter.

You need Blacker Lotus, can't get more black than that..

January 27, 2015 6:05 a.m.

obitus says... #15

@RabidCatigi totally should put that in here to go with the name.

January 27, 2015 10:40 a.m.

RabidCatigi says... #16

Well you can't actully because it's from the Unglued and both Unsets are banned in commander I just said that like a joke, sorry.

January 27, 2015 11:36 a.m.

obitus says... #17

I know, I would never actually add it in. The banned list is more like polite suggestions, or guide lines if you will.

But I would tell people I have it in my deck anyway, let them spend turn on turn figuring out that I don't actually have in there.

Wow, I feel bad that I ruined the joke, sorry. xD

Try adding Phyrexian Dreadnought - you can use his sac trigger in conjunction with Gisa's ability to get 12 zombies for 1B.

no worries

mullac1128: This a great suggestion, I just need to get my hands on one.

I will add it in here, and order it soon. Your right.

which creature would you take out of the Fodder section?

dagan94 says... #23

Grave Betrayal. He's a zombie, she's a zombie, we're all zombies! Great way to take advantage of killing your opponents creatures, and follows your zombie tribal theme.

obitus says... #24

Hmm, its Lim-Dul the Necromancer in enchantment form. What would you cut out?

March 20, 2015 7:03 p.m.

dagan94 says... #25

Well Reassembling Skeleton is technically not a zombie, you may not care but that one stands out. Also, maybe I'm missing the combo with Thornbite Staff but it looks like it has a small amount of utility for way too much mana.
