Risen Executioner is another good zombie Lord effect.

I do not run both xxSkedz24xx because of space, but it is a good suggestion. So switched it out.

@canterlotguardian: He is a great one, my only problem is he is fodder and a lord at the same time. Those to functionalities combined are not worth it in my opinion.
At one point I had him in here and he did well, got me a few extra zombies. But I ended up never recasting him after I sacrifice him to Gisa.

Black tends to have trouble with opponent's pesky artifacts, would throw in a Gate to Phyrexia other than that it looks pretty good. I'd personally reconsider the Coat of Arms because at least in my playgroups, Krenko and slivers are both things and would end up boosting an opponent more than benefit myself. But everyone's playgroup is different so.

@TheHamster: That is a great suggestion, when ever I pick one up I will try to squeeze it in here. What card would you drop for it?
Coat of Arms is really bad and great at the same time, usually I never get to that stage of the game. I am almost thinking of putting in a Mikaeus, the Unhallowed for it spot.
I have maybe been able to mass swing a few times, so it is arguable whether I should keep Coat of Arms or not.

eh, I'd replace it with the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed like you mentioned, I feel it would be better consistently as he is never really a dead card in your hand like Coat of Arms has the potential to be.
for Gate to Phyrexia I would probably substitute out probably the Wayfarer's Bauble reasoning being you have a far amount of ramp already, and black doesn't need to be the fastest deck with all of the removal it sports. as well you don't really have any way of recurring it that i noticed so it's kinda just a one mana gain slot then eh.
(also would move the Thornbite Staff and Umbral Mantle to Utility category from the Fodder)

TheHamster: Your right, I think I will do that. I am learning to keep only cards that work all the time rather than most of the time.
I think I will put Risen Executioner in place of Skirsdag High Priest who takes setting up to abuse, canterlotguardian was right.
All this technically puts my average cmc up a little more, but makes the deck more solid.
Thornbite Staff and Umbral Mantle was under utility, I forgot why I moved them. I will put them back.

To me, the average cmc doesn't super matter as long as it's under 4. (Unless it's a ramp deck and you're pooping out like 3 more mana a turn) Risen Executioner seems like a solid replacement as well since you went down an anthem. If you have time I would love if you could check out my deck This Life to the Next, have a few cards (like Falkenrath Noble) that need replacing and not sure what for so it be nice to get some help on that.

Maybe check out Scourge of Nel Toth. With gisa should be easy to sac for 6 zombies, bring him back for two of them. Bonus: he is a zombie
December 4, 2015 5:49 a.m.
@TheHamster: I will make a copy of your deck and share it with you, lets see what I can notice.
@pettit: I have thought about Scourge of Nel Toth, but I am effy on a 7 cmc, reoccur for and sacrifice 2. This reads 7 mana for 6 zombies, and an additional 4 afterwards for 2 mana.
To top it all off, I hate keeping my cmc high than it has to be. I only do that if I am playing a lot of good stuff.
@HansZ666: I thought about Thousand-Year Elixir, but the fact that I can combo off with other one stops me from putting in the deck.
I still up to the idea, but it would take some good points to change it. So far I have jumped back and forth about 5 times.

Noxious Ghoul does serious work with Gisa and Grave Betrayal you'll board wipe in large games, especially with those who have mana weenies.
December 14, 2015 5:21 p.m.
@Kilrane: I have tried Noxious Ghoul, its a nice card. I make so many zombies that people just board wipe the board clean anyways.
Plus, I have players kill Ghoulcaller Gisa with that card. So I make sure not to play it.
Thanks for the suggestion.

@fcorh: I have no actual defense for flying outright in this deck. However, I do have some control over the board state with the cards I dedicated to "Control".
Either I make them sacrifice the flyer or I board wipe the board into a zero creature state.
I rarely encounter dealing with flyers as a problem.

Is there a budget version of this deck? I love the idea of flooding the board with zombies but I don't have much money
April 1, 2016 7:08 a.m.
I am currently reworking the deck myself. I don't know a cheaper version of this deck, but if your going to start building it then make sure you work on Mana and draw first. This is my humble opinion, the zombies are the last to be selected. You don't need the best zombies for this to work.

@dstroyer200: Thanks, I really like the idea of Gisa. The problem is I need a little more jump starters.
I am still working out the balances of card functionality, right now I am looking at the fodder and instant spawning of zombies.
The deck is less clunky then last, but still in need of a good tweak.

I've been tweaking this for a few...Jesus, Another Freaking Zombie...
Check it out, maybe you will get some ideas. I noticed that I was having a hard time getting the ball rolling also. Did a major overhaul and lowered the curve for some more sac creatures vs utility. Undying is a good mechanic, Nantuko Shade is a nice mana sink. Grafted War Gear is pretty sweet, 0 cost equip and three more tokens.
Have fun and looks good.

You've been at this deck for a long time, so you probably don't want suggestions. However, have you thought about adding Gempalm Polluter? High CMC, but mostly utilized for its cycling ability, which is low cost. And moderately high power if it does end up on the battlefield somehow. Thought of it because you have Shepherd of Rot as the only card in the "Win" category. Figured 'Ol Gempalm could fit there as well.

Hey Epicurus, thanks for the suggestion. I always appreciate feedback, it makes me a better deck builder.
I used to use Gempalm Polluter way back when, but cut it when I was trying to find the right balance in building the deck. Now that you reminded me of the card, I am thinking I should try and put somewhere again. I generally win through overrunning my opponents, but my favorite win condition is killing the whole board. This is why there is only one win condition listed, even though there is many ways to win.
What would you take out for Gempalm Polluter?
xxSkedz24xx says... #1
obitus why not both? Gary has to be better than at least one creature you're using
