Gideon the Hateful

Casual*

TheBossferatu

Need to Make a Deck to punish players who play decks that are particularly oppressive to play against, so attempting to make the most oppressive deck possible.

So the decks trying to do a couple things;

  1. Get an Isochron Scepter (exiling a Silence) and a Grand Abolisher in play. At this point, our opponent cant cast any spells other than instants on their turn cast in response to tapping the scepter provided we have 2 mana untapped each turn. We just lock the game until we draw the next two pieces.

  2. Get a Gideon, Martial Paragon and Static Orb in play. At this point, we are using Gideon to untap all of our creatures each turn during our main phases since all players can only untap two permanents each untap step. We untap two lands each turn to keep the previous combo going.

The rest of the deck is pretty much there to make the game a total nightmare for the opposing player. The various permanents played by the deck will make the opposing players cards more expensive to cast which becomes firmly cemented once both combo's are in play. Once we are at the stage where the opponent can only untap two permanents and we have a ghostly prison in play, unless they can untap their mana-sources by other means sending a creature at the deck will be all they can afford to do.

Suggestions welcome.
