When I first saw the card Whelming Wave I was intrigued by it's specific design and when I later discovered that cards like Serpent of Yawning Depths exist, I was fixed on the idea of building a deck around this. Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty is the secret Commander and gives this deck a Cascade-subtheme. It's a very simple and I guess for most people rather boring kind of deck: You ramp, you play big sea creatures, you control the board with Brinelin's ability or just your usual blue trickery like Counterspell or AEtherize. The S in Simic stands for "simple".
