Maybeboard

This is my attempt at a Gitrog control/Rock build that does not feature a combo as its primary win condition. I have been enamored with the frog monster since it was first spoiled, and this deck has made it through many iterations since SOI to reach its current state.

This current build looks to keep the table in check with various stax and hand control effects while simply burying opponents with card advantage. My meta is primarily multiplayer (not a lot of interest in duel commander), very blue-heavy, and has a lot of counter-based control, greedy mana bases, and slow-moving combos, so this build is intended to act as cop to some degree in this meta while featuring abilities that are difficult to interact with (i.e., lots of powerful utility lands).

I think that this build in a lot of ways plays like Nath stax builds -- plenty of symmetrical discard, plenty of ways to slow down the early turns of the game, Death Cloud as a possible finisher, etc. Where Nath looks to break symmetry with mana rocks or dorks, however, I've had a lot of success in breaking symmetry just by having plenty of additional land drops and plenty of lands to abuse these abilities. With our commander on board, this strategy of breaking symmetry also results in generating a not insignificant amount of card advantage.

This current build is still pretty new to me, and I'm sure there are plenty of areas for improvement. Edits will be plentiful, and comments and suggestions are very welcome! While budget isn't necessarily a huge concern, it will probably be a while before I find myself in possession of a Bayou or the fast mana rocks (i.e., Mox Diamond or Mana Crypt).
