It is sitting on the sidelines right now as I'm trying to see if Collective Brutality can do better as a loopable sorcery-speed win condition, and so far it has outperformed Grasp.
In case you have any questions about changes to the list, see the changelog in "Latest Changes". I keep it pretty much up to date with my paper list so it should answer any questions on recent adds and/or cuts.

Very very cool deck, really enjoying it so far. Had a heated discussion on the cleanup step rules but the link provided helped me coming out on top of the argument lol My only question is: why lake of the dead? I think the number of swamps in the deck is not nearly enough to justify its inclusion. Don't get me wrong, when it goes off it makes people lose their metaphorical shit, but it rarely does. I tried adding a Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and it kinda sorta works better in my opinion. Other than that the deck is really cool

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Lake of the Dead is, at the end of the day, not that hard to activate because we have so many fetchlands handy, but it does require some planning in advance. Just get both Bayou and Overgrown Tomb off of any green fetches you draw, and the regular swamps off of black fetches. On the turn you go off, having just two swamps is enough, as you won't be needing them anymore after sacrificing them. With Life from the Loam, it also becomes usable over multiple turns.
Even in the worst case, if you don't have any swamps handy, it is a free cantrip that uses a land drop for the turn with Gitrog on the field, although I personally fetch swamps actively enough for this to happen less often.

What's the Skirge Familiar + Life from the Loam combo you mentioned in a previous comment? I'm not really seeing how you can win with that combo without having Dakmor Salvage.

Okay so, i'm also a gitrog player but the thing is, i dont des à son con in your deck.
Personally i use triskelion/mikaeus and exsansguinate with infinite mana ( i use dakmor and all discord engine like putrid imp for example To filtre with kozilek and play lotus petal/summer bloom/crop rotation with lotus cobra/dark ritual and 3 or 4 others.) If i can't win like je exsansguinate vas bien meddling mage and triskelion got exile, i use stop mine To destroy sol land, hero's downfall To destroy créature and planes, krosan grip for artifacts and enchantement si like test no one will ever be able To play since they're ami instants.
P.s: for protection use heroic intervention To protect your board

Does the instant speed combo also work with sunscorched desert?
August 26, 2018 11:06 a.m.
That is correct. You cast Crop Rotation sacrificing a land to fetch Sunscorched Desert, and after that, you just keep sacrificing, shuffling it in your library, and then fetching it with the same Crop Rotation you used to sacrifice it.
It's essentially the Rath's Edge line described in the primer (Cleanup Step Win Pt.2), but with fewer steps as you don't need extra land drops to loop the Desert.

Hi @Leptys! I first off wanted to say thank you for the build/ primer. It's amazing and I'm building paper lists of this and Sigi's CVT. I also think that the way you abuse Riftsweeper to net infinite green mana is pure genius, so kudos to you.

Hi Leptys, I am making my version of Gitrog's deck, but expensive cards are being a problem for the prices in Brazil, so I've decide to make using gaea's blessing for himself, not with kozilek
After draw the entire deck, I realize to do 3 stages:
1) sac gaea's blessing,
cast noxious revival on gaea's blessing,
sac a land,
sac grave-shell scarab,
dredge grave-shell scarab and let reshuffle.
2) sac dakmor salvage,
dredge dakmor salvage.
*this stage need to be made 7 times, to acumulate 7 draw triggers on stack
3) cast geth's verdict,
sac golgari brownscale,
dredge golgari brownscale,
sac grave-shell scarab,
dredge grave-shell scarab.
*dredging the two creatures I still have 5 draw triggers on stack, so I let reshuffle and draw the 4 cards
Need to acumulate 7 triggers becouse if gaea's blessing is put into the graveyard at brownscale's dredge, I can sac a land to generate one more draw trigger and sac and dredge scarab to reshuffle and draw 5 cards instead 4
so, can works?

Hello, congrats on the deck + primer, it's very well made.
What are your thoughts regarding the cards in Guilds of Ravnica ?
I think Underrealm Lich might be an interesting addition (I'm not playing cEDH so for me it's great anyway, but what do you think for cEDH?). If I'm not mistaken Underrealm Lich makes it so you cannot whiff with Gaea's Blessing and so adds to the resilience of drawing the whole deck (+ you have a lot more control of what goes to the graveyard first).
As a side note, I think the only 3 other cards that are interesting (but probably only for budget versions) are Mausoleum Secrets, Doom Whisperer and Assassin's Trophy

Leptys so I’ve been trying the latest changes, and correct me if I’m wrong but this new version is not capable of going off at Cleanup step if your tapped out, where the previous version made it possible since you could go off with elvish spirit guide into crop rotation for a swamp , dark ritual into necromancy on skirge

Any thoughts about Cadaverous Bloom? Im using it to get green mana after getting infinite and it helps to on the turn before you

@fbatista yes you still can win via endstep. you have savage summonings. cast it then cast your discard outlet. or you still have oblivion crown.

Wait... I am confused, how does this version of the deck finish? No Necromancy, Ebony Charm, Dryad Arbor, Sunscorched Desert, Rath's Edge, Collective Brutality, Geth's Verdict... none of it... at least this deck's description outlines a lot of finishers for wincons, and none of them are in the deck.

@[synergybuilds] Hey, the card Praetor's grasp is every win con needed and more :^)

Just SynergyBuild, no 's' at the end!
I get that, yet it makes it not able to go off at end-step, and without Dryad Arbor, Necromancy and Rath's Edge, or a card like Ebony Charm, I don't think there is a way.

The lists wins at instant speed by destroying all opposing permanents with Beast Within, then looping it on a permanent you control repeatedly to make infinite beast tokens to beat down the table on your next turn.
You make infinite green by looping Crop Rotation for a land that makes more than a single green (like Twilight Mire or Gaea's Cradle). Note that it requires you to have a land to sacrifice, and one green source open to cast your first Rotation.
Read the Latest Changes accordion for the lines, all the latest info is there laid out.
EDIT: On additions regarding Guilds of Ravnica, Assassin's Trophy will be put to testing and is most likely gonna stay in the list for a long while. Say tuned for the update.

So... here's an option from GRN that could replace some players' discard outlets if they find that they often get hated out:
If you find that you have necromancy in your hand and you're ready to go off - but your opponents always have a destroy spell in hand at the right time, this is the card for you. The 4 life cost for indestructible is negligible, and after a lot of excessive testing I find that if you need to sculpt a better hand, or need to iterate a loop until you find dakmor, then this lich is for you.
With combo pieces in hand, this card isn't great. But for recovering after they remove your GR, it's surprisingly useful. After I manage to source a foil one I'll be testing it in my meta vs FC tazri, doomtide thrasios&tymna, jelevaStorm & Kess-Twin.

@n0bunga:
Bind is a bit too situational for its use from my experience. If it countered triggered abilities, I'd probably consider it more as it can neuter Protean Hulk as well as Paradox Engine triggers to buy a turn. As it stands, the slot it would fill would be better off with some other, more applicable form of interaction.

I very much like the deck. I also am a Gitrog Player but mine not exactly on the level of yours. Respectively my Gitrog is fairly competitive in my meta with different slower more convoluted combos such as Ob Nixilis the fallen and exsanguinate as well as combos such as Titania protector of argoth with concordant crossroads. A lot of stuff you have used in your cEDH Gitrog ive thought of using, some stuff I just never considered due to the price range of some of the cards. But I am working on my gitrog to incorporate some of the tech you have to speed up mine and to have a little more follow through and protection for my combos. So thank you for all the work you've put into your deck and all the explanations, very

Thoughts on replacing abrupt decay with assassins trophy?

I very much like Summoners Pact. It can be an instant Green mana for 0 and it can fetch combo pieces.
