Hello, glad to hear you like it! The Rath's Edge loops still are written as part of a more classic line, where you stack a ton of draw triggers first, then remove Gitrog yourself so those "in-between triggers" don't occur.
The newer lines that you use to create infinite green mana with Crop Rotation also can be applied to this situation from what I can gather, I just never updated those specific lines with Edge due to us being much more resilient to cheeky discard outlet removal when you have both infinite green and black, as well as complete access to your whole deck with cards like Autumn's Veil , Oblivion Crown and repeatable recursion with Noxious Revival to back up any corner cases.
The primer lacks the disclaimer that you need to sacrifice Gitrog anyhow, so thanks for pointing it out! I'll fix that ASAP.

hi! may you help to explain some cards please?
Riftsweeper - only to return kozi ou dakmor from exile? Ive been playing for a while and they never got exiled, maybe because my meta I don
t need this card?
Gaea's Blessing - only backup for kozi? is there any trick in this card?
priest of titania is realy better than lotus cobra?
thanks a lot!!!

Raphael.fp some lists run a second Eldrazi titan instead of Gaea's Blessing.
And yes, Priest of Titania is major. There are usually so many elves out on our opponents battlefield that it's highly worthwhile

If your opponents don't bother to exile cards then riftsweeper is not needed, as Emergence Zone with Lotus Petal is an alternative method to netting abundant mana of multiple colours at instant speed (rather than the old Necromancy + Riftsweeper > Elvish Spirit Guide loop)
Lotus Cobra is a great dork, but it isn't favoured by all. If something isn't needed, just take it out (although if somebody turns kozilek into a manifest like with Reality Shift ) or a number of other options you'll be sad for cutting your backup shuffler.
All cards that don't fit your meta can become interaction, additional tutors and altogether improve your build.

Autumn's Veil - The green version of Silence , something I'd run more of if I could.

The spoiler has been duly noted, and the new Veil will be included soon! Waiting just in case more juicy adds drop from the Core Set, then I'll include it (and the other possible additions) in the official list. :)

With the new no necromancy list I've run into the problem of having a grindy game and my discard outlets being removed so I push for a discard win since most removal and interaction is burned at this point. But in doing so I sac all my lands to reach eight cards with Dakmor. But still having Mana up through dorks and rocks. Is there any way to win with infinite green needing outlets to win this way, aka no lands in play to emergence zone. Also not running Savage summoning.
June 19, 2019 12:37 a.m.
The secondary instant-speed win outlet is permanent destruction through Assassin's Trophy followed by creature beats, if that's what you were asking.
When it comes to landing an outlet through sculpting and making infinite green however, you need to hold on to at least one land drop on the field and two mana sources, one of them being a green source. That way you can sculpt to a hand with Crop Rotation , enough fast mana and a discard outlet so you can land all of them in one go after searching and cracking Emergence Zone ("this turn" and "until end of turn" effects end when you move into the next cleanup step, this includes Zone's effect).
If you were looking to stick an outlet without Zone during cleanup sculpting, that unfortunately doesn't work in this list. You need to run either Savage Summoning or Necromancy for that.

First off, this is an amazing deck!
While I intend to build this as a true cEDH deck and I understand that's the intention, could anyone point me to any examples on how to power down the deck to give a similar dredge like feel, without utterly destroying a less competitive meta?

Hi Ender666666,
That is a pretty awesome deck list! That being said, I'd certainly say that it's quite spiky. Do you think it's possible to play Gitrog dredge in a 6-8 range of power level with any success and/or fun?

Do you think Archaeological Dig would be worth running or would the slot be better used for a more permanent form of mana/utility?

Would it be worth adding an articles tab that complies a lot of the work behind the statistics of Gitrog?

When using Finale of Devastation as a Dakmor-less win con, do we just use Crop rotation loops to make infinite green? I see that line uses dakmor as well. Can someone explain a shortened loop without dakmor I can use to make inf green and finale the table?
July 12, 2019 3:33 p.m.
I can rename the Attachments tab and add article links there. Be sure to PM me any articles I might've missed!
You can't go off with any loops without Dakmor. The primer only notes that you can use Finale as a last-ditch wincon by pumping a lot of mana into it for fatal combat damage (with Priest of Titania , Gaea's Cradle etc.). You can also use Golgari Grave-Troll to pump a discard outlet to large sizes and then swing for fatal damage, but that only kills a single player per turn which might not be effective when against fast combo decks.

Okay, that makes more sense, thanks. I've had the deck finished for a while, but haven't had the chance enough to playtest fully to really start learning the intricacies.
On that note, I also see that Lotus Field wasn't added. I'm guessing that it's too slow, as it comes in tapped, even if it draws us 2 cards for the price of a land drop?

sIllverback says... #18
Well, Lotus Field doesn't require the lands to be untapped to sacrifice them, so it has some benefits over Vale, especially with things like Deserted Temple , as you can use the 2 mana, then play the Field and still draw 2 cards. I'm currently running it for testing to see if I like it enough to keep it. (Especially because I can't afford a Bazaar, yet, so at worst it's a place holder).

n0bunga This list actually runs 7 lands that can produce 1 colorless mana, inclusive of Cavern of Souls , Phyrexian Tower , Gemstone Caverns as well as the 4 you mention, Homeward Path , Emergence Zone , Twilight Mire , Llanowar Wastes

n0bunga I personally think a large number of those cards could be dropped. I am not a huge fan of Phyrexian Tower or Homeward Path .

I've not found it necessary against the lists I use it against, but if you do run against it often, it doesn't sound that bad to run, just inefficient compared to what I have seen.

While many non-hyper-speedy-combo, blue lists run the drake, my metagame is very fast, few midrangy/stax/control blue decks there. Additionally, those that run it often aren't going to tutor it up, and they won't often draw it, even if they do, Veil of Summer now works as protection against it, and if you remove the drake they don't exchange, so Abrupt Decay /other removal works too to stop it. Not really ever too scared of it enough to run H-Path, but different metagames may have more drake decks.

Ayula's Influence from the new set might create infinite tokens with dakmor. any thoughts about that?

First of all, great deck, love the complicated but effective loops. I was wondering about your thoughts on underrealm lich, i found its highly effective when you are stuck with only a creature tutor. Ive also been running dryad arbor because it can ramp you with green suns zenith and you can sacrifice it for cards like diabolic intent.

Hi! New EDH player here! loving this gitrog list, trying to build a budget version! Just have a question for the Backup wincon of Praetor's Grasp into somebody's Laboratory Maniac: Praetor's effect isn't like Gonti, Lord of Luxury where you can use any mana to cast the cards you've taken, you still need to pay the actual CMC... So how do we cast Lab Man if we have no blue??
lavalampmasterrace says... #1
Hey! Love the article. Just one problem, and if I'm missing something, please correct me; at the part where we Crop Rotation to fetch Rath's Edge, don't we get a draw trigger on top of the stack because we sacrificed a land? And don't we get another one for discarding Edge with Kozilek? Doesn't that disrupt the combo completely?
