Gitrog monster card advantage control.
A large portion of my meta game is infect and Aura hexproof decks. There is occasionally a grixis control or UR control. A few aggressive decks like goblins or burn will show up from time to time.
Let's get to some deck tech.
Gitrog is the main guy here using him as a big guy and massive card advantage. Most decks seem to go dredge with this guy but I wanted to just use crucible of worlds so we can continue to play 2-3 lands a turn. I do feel that life of the loam may be needed for extra fuel.
Sacrificing abilities are key for this deck and the meta I am in. Getting around hexproof and controlling decks that run off 1-3 creatures.
Early game we are a tempo control removing the early plays from there hand, killing creatures and making them discard.
After Gitrog hits, hopefully we know they have nothing to deal with him, we will have enough of an advantage to secure the game.
Thoughtseize, inquisition and Liliana are hand disruption.
Abrupt decay, devour flesh, doom blade and Liliana is the removal package. I will probably add Hero downfall in the board for decks like Tron and other midrange with walkers.
Oracle is in the deck for some ramp and information. Life from the loan is there to work hand in hand with Gitrog and oracle.
Tarmogoyf Is in the deck for pressure early game and with all the discarding and potential dredging he will be large fast.
Any suggestions are welcome! I have considered splashing blue or red but am not sure if it's worth it.
