Welcome to my Grixis Combo Control

I present to you:

Demonic Pact + Harmless Offering and Thing in the Ice  

Demonic Pact & Harmless Offering

The first and foremost tactic to win in style!

Both of my combo pieces are protected in the form of: Izzet Charm , Rune Snag , Spell Pierce and Inquisition of Kozilek . Reserving extra mana for a counterspell while casting Harmless Offering removes doubt of it getting countered instead. Disperse and Void Snare help bounce Pact back if the Offerings are too deep.

Cards that help in digging for those pieces are: The cycle and scry lands, Izzet Charm and Serum Visions . All scry effects also helps filter the extra combo pieces to bottom.

Diabolic Tutor fetches the missing piece.

Thing in the Ice

The secondary tactic to emerge victorious and not so stylish either..

Thing in the Ice   has synergy with literally 50% of our deck, so it works as a sidequest quite brilliantly.

Control

The control kit is not yet refined and is basically just bunch of cards that perform well all around.

• Go for the Throat hits almost anything and Rakdos Charm fills that void.
• Terminate is really efficient with Dreadbore .
• Anger of the Gods as a playset is also a powerhouse against wide decks.
• Guttersnipe has same synergy that the Thing have, but is directed straight to the face.
• Shadow of Doubt is a great turn 2 play against a fetch land, if you got no Thing in the Ice   in hand.

The reason for, lets say 2x Terminate + 2x Go for the Throat and not just 4x Terminate , is to spread the 3 colors, incase 1 needs fixing.

Abyssal Persecutor is a fun thing to side in on game 2 when your opponent is under the impression you're almost creatureless and sides out some of his removal ;)

Sideboard is a mess and needs more playtesting before I can start to settle on anything.

This started as a sort of a parody project, cause I didn't believe in the Pact + Offering combo, but splashing blue in it gave me courage to try! This might even take on some decks at FNM.
