This looks interesting. why not prefer Emrakul, the Aeons Torn over grislebrand?

It is rather weak to the control build of bw tokens, simply because t1 and t2 are both used to vivisect the opponents hand until it has nothing useful in it. After that, it beats you to a bloody pulp. Once it gains sb access, it gains Relic of Progenitus , which also wrecks your day.

Your version of this deck is insanely fun to play, it's a masterpiece! I instantly had to up vote it and play test it! Each time you start a game it's just like playing poker where you try to figure if you can win right away, and that's is truly insane. I hope that with everyone looking at this deck we can optimize it to it's best. Do you have any forum thread for it? I'm not saying that tappedout is a bad place, I think that a forum would improve the organization of the conversation and ideias.

Awesome work! Keep the creative juices flowing!

This seems to be the original thread I've picked up the shell from.

Great deck, but be careful. I played against a similar deck and beat the guy when I used a Control Magic on his Griselbrand and went from there, maybe put in some kill spells to get rid of grislebrand if something like that happens.

I intend to win the game grislebrand hits the field, I only need to worry about instant speed stuff mostly.

ninjaman16782 Control Magic is only Legacy legal, and this deck is Modern legal.

Would the vivid lands be a viable option for this deck?

Nope. Comes into play tapped.

Maybe replace your 1 swamp with an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

Deck needs one basic to protect from Blood Moon and Path to Exile

Forbidden Orchard should not be in here. If you do get off the combo turn one, but you used Forbidden Orchard, they will have a blocker. I would highly sugget changing it for Mana Confluence or something like it.

I'm sorry, i just realized that the tokens spwaned by Forbidden Orchard do not have flying. I just assumed since they were spirits that they did. Great deck either way, +1 from me.

Leyline of Sanctity could solve your Thoughtseize/Inquisition problems. Don't know what to take out, though.
