Glissa, the Elfseeker *Work in Progress*

Commander / EDH*

Creature (1)

Welcome to Glissa, the best Mono-Green Commander for an infinite-combo based deck.

Glissa Sunseeker offers a lot to this deck. Our deck is very good at generating infinite mana, and that means that Glissa is going to blow up hate artifacts or other permanents when paired with Liquimetal Coating or Mycosynth Lattice.

We can also use our infinite untap combo to keep untapping her and keep killing everything we need.

A second function Glissa serves is to distract our opponents. When people haven't played me before, they're not going to expect infinites at all.

Third, I think Glissa is very underplayed in EDH and I wanted to showcase her potential in this deck.

We have 3 infinite mana combo's, but they can be assembled in many, may different ways.

Combo #1: Illusionist's Bracers + Seeker of Skybreak + any creature that taps for mana.

Combo #2: Umbral Mantle + anything that taps for 3 mana (for example Argothian Elder and Gaea's Cradle or Elvish Archdruid + 3 or more elves.)

Combo #3: Maze of Ith + Argothian Elder or Krosan Restorer (only works during combat on your turn)

Here you can find payoffs for having infinite mana!

- Ant Queen

- Joraga Warcaller

-Omnath, Locus of Mana

-Genesis Wave

-Staff of Domination

-Helix Pinnacle

-Sprout Swarm

All these cards also serve as a mana pool manipulator to make sure our Glissa will hit everything we want.

Updates Add

Added:

-Magus of the Candelabra. This is a combo piece to go with Maze of Ith and a land that taps for at least 3 mana (e.g. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Gaea's Cradle or sometimes Wirewood Lodge). Note that it has to be your attack step for this to work.

-Beast Within. This is probably the single best catchall green removal spell. Can't believe how I missed it while building this deck.

Removed:

-Heritage Druid. This card, I discovered, was often just not good enough. We are not focused on tokens at all and it didn't even create an infinite somewhere!

-Phyrexian Altar. This card didn't do much for the deck. We are, once again, not very good at making tokens and even when we do make them with like Sprout Swarrm, we probably won't need extra mana. This card was better off as a protection spell.
