I currently run R/W Humans, but this deck is really making me want to switch over to B/W and do unnecessary amounts of damage. I really like the deck idea.

Oh shit you're right, lol. Well, forget about that one. :P Maybe I'll put a one-of Angelic Destiny in there.

I have a deck very much similar to this. After seeing this, I might try to work Knight of Infamy and Knight of Glory into it.

Thank you.

No problem, they're pretty sweet two drops. Not hate bears, sure, but still cool.

i have a deck that is similar. except mine is only white and it uses enchantments like angelic destiny and spirit mantle.

Gather the Townsfolk over Lingering Souls . you want that Champion of the Parish to be huge. also consider going to 4x Cavern of Souls to help with mana issues. And i personally have found Mirran Crusader to be very situational of lately when I run my humans i have him in sideboard.

What about Blade Splicer instead of Mirran Crusader ? Makes two dudes instead of one, which will help with boosting Sublime Archangel . This deck is really cool though!

July 4, 2012 3 p.m.

The power of Mirran Crusader isn't really in his protections, it's more so as an additional source of double strikeage. So drop him turn 3 and then Archangel turn 4. Stuff like that. I haven't really been having mana issues thus far (except for not drawing lands, but I've only been testing on cockatrice obviously). I'll try out Gather the Townsfolk over Lingering Souls ; however, I think the inability to flash back will ultimately push me to not run it instead. Champion has plenty of opportunities to get stupid big as is, and combined with swords, the spirits really help to swing with one exalted and chump with the others and so on. I'm curious to try out Blade Splicer so I'll give it a go. Thanks for the suggestiosn.

I would take out some of the three drops like Silverblade Paladin and maybe 1 Fiend Hunter for 2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride

July 8, 2012 1:18 a.m.

Could you explain why? Because I kind of feel like Ajani is garbage except against control. Sure, I should have enough chumps to block to protect him, but chances are those chumps either are providing me with lifelink, exalted or double strike, so I'll probably just get put in a situation where I'll want to minus 3 him right off the bat and be put in this awkward spot where I just paid 1WW for 1 turn evasion and double strike; whereas Fiend Hunter removes essentially any creature that I would want to remove (barring hexproof and protection of course) for as long as he's on the field, and Paladin adds a more permanent and flexible double strike. I'll consider him in the sideboard and I will test him in place of Lingering Souls or something, though -- but yeah, I'd appreciate an explanation as to why you think I should do this.

I very much like the deck. One comment about your sideboard reasons, I would suggest thinking about keeping card:Faith's Reward in because with Mutilate and Bonfire of the Damned there will still be some board wipes in standard, although depending on the meta game of where you are playing this might not be a problem, just a thought to keep in mind. +1 btw

Wow i love the deck idea. I would recommend Vault of the Archangel because lifegain is awesome. And Tormented Soul to get in there with the exalted.

July 9, 2012 10:30 p.m.

I wish I could run Vault, but if I did I'd have to take out Cathedral of War because I don't think I can support the mana base otherwise. I'll try it, but the exalted land is nice and the casting cost on vault is pretty costly. I'll try Tormented Soul -- it might be more conistent than War Falcon .

Oh man, thanks for reminding me about Specter. I was thinking of running him but never got the chance to test him out before I forgot. When I get back in town Ill be sure to. I think I mostly just want to run him because of how cool his ability is, Im not sure how well he actually synergizes with the deck though.

looks good man :) i think War Falcon works better when you don't have the splicer/hunter/pilgrims diluting the type base, but if it works, it works! but i do think it's better than Tormented Soul because the need for a black source on Turn 1 can really screw you (same goes for Duty-Bound Dead ).

in my deck i run Vault Skirge , as it is freaking amazing and can drop turn 1 regardless of color, and the 2 life is made up if you drop an exalted source T2.

have you thought about Oblivion Ring ? it can work really well to get rid of enemy Mirran Crusader s and Knight of Glory . plainswalkers get handled, too :)

+1 for sure! check out my list, it seems like you used to be a little more like it but you switched, i'd be interested in hearing your reasoning! Moral Support (B/W Exalted Tokens)

July 17, 2012 4:04 p.m.

I could try running Attended Knight if I wanted to better facilitate War Falcon ; however, I think I might just take the Falcon out. In any case, I like the Vault Skirge idea, and I think i may try it. Thanks. :)

i leave out Attended Knight and take out Mentor of the Meek most of ur cretures are 2 power or more

July 25, 2012 11:45 a.m.

28 of my 32 creatures have 2 power or less, I'm not sure what you mean.

I like mentor but as was pointed out on mine 3 may be overdoing it. If you run 2 you probably won't draw him till mid-late game when he is a great draw as opposed to early game where he is NOT something you want to play turn 3.

Very nice. Trying to work a post-rotation Exalted deck. Seeing yours, I'm tempted to make some tweaks to my own. My biggest issue is that there is so little removal in it...
