Monarchy degenerates into tyranny, aristocracy into oligarchy, and democracy into savage violence and chaos.

With the excitement from Conspiracy and Kaladesh coming up, I decided to make my second EDH deck with Queen Marchesa at the reign of my tyrannical control deck.

The goal as it applies, is to control the board with cards like Athreos, God of Passage, Erebos, God of the Dead, and with other cards that put tokens on your side of the field like Queen Marchesa (when you lose the Monarchy card), Elspeth, Sun's Champion,Grave Titan, and Ophiomancer. Keep in mind, you have a lot of fellow subjects in this deck as well. It's fairly creature heavy - I tend to make a lot of my commander decks like that, so, if there is any suggestions if you'd like to add more spells, please feel free to in the comments below.

Another goal of this deck is to slowly start and taxing your subjects whilst you reap the benefits. This is probably one of the most satisfying elements of this deck; and, their lies the possibility of an unlimited wombo-combo! Two of the cards that really make this deck thrive are: Painful Quandary and Sanquine Blood. Not much to explain here. You gain life and your opponents lose that same amount. When your opponents cast spells, they lose 5 life and you gain that much too. After you've built up mana, you can also play cards like Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless. With other creatures like Windborn Muse and Ghostly Prison which causes your opponents to pay more mana just to attack you.

This deck has caused a lot of frustration for the people I've played against and it's been a lot of fun. If you like creature heavy decks or control decks, this would be the deck for you to try out and play for yourself. There are obviously a lot of different ways to improve this deck if you had the budget for it.
