If any of you are looking for ideas on how to build an alternate style of mono green EDH deck, give my green combo deck a look. It plays like a blue deck (flash and big card draw) and has a red win condition (burn). It's called It's Admittedly Easy Being Green Combo Burn. For some reason the hyperlink won't work.

KriegerLovesShockFights I used to run it actually, even got a nice foil version of it haha. I feel it's a good card for green no doubt, but I was also feeling the mana base was getting a little rough when it came to just straight up Forests. I may remove Buried Ruin for it since having an extra way to regen a crucial creature is never bad.

Could you explain what infinite combos this deck is capable of pulling off since most of the key synergies are already in the description.

The only infinite combo involves Temur Sabertooth, Vedalken Orrery, having enough mana, and any creature with an abusable etb. For instance, you could get infinite mana with Magus of the Candelabra, or exile everything with Ulamog, get anything back with E Wit, etc etc.

Hey, idk if this deck is still active but I thought I would recommend a few cards. First of all Monstrous Onslaught is a must for all Omnath decks as it will most of the time wipe just about all of your opponents creatures for only 5 mana. Elephant Grass can be good. Elvish Herder is a great trample giver. Three Visits is better than rampant growth if you have the money. Nissa, Who Shakes the World is basically vernal bloom 2.0. I think Doubling Cube needs back in and Helix Pinnacle wouldn't hurt either. Lifecrafter's Bestiary is great card draw. Sword of Feast and Famine untaps your lands and gives you protection from a cast down or walk the plank. Crop Rotation is great with rogues passage and the cradle. Plow Under absolutely kills someone usually. Calming Verse is a one sided enchantment wipe, and Sylvan Tutor is wordly tutors weak cousin.

Nice deck!

GreenGuy47 I just brought the deck back from retirement! I had converted it into a Selvala cEDH , but i hardly played it, and Omntah was my general and the deck has always been fun. I definitely like Monstrous Onslaught because creature board wipes in green are so hard to come by! Three Visits, yeah, I don't really feel like dropping 100+ on something I can't even get foil lol. I run so many dorks to get Omnath out turn 2 so I keep the ramp spells limited, but idk, that might change depending on how play testing goes this time around. I was considering Helix Pinnacle as a wincon I could flash in with Emergence Zone or Vedalken Orrery, or just have it out early game because people don't want to waste a removal spell on it in the early goings. I've had Nissa, Who Shakes the World on my radar since bringing the deck back....i like mana doublers :D I will definitely be testing out different stuff as I get this deck back up to snuff, thanks for the all suggestions and reminders of good green stuff ^__^

Hello again! Was looking at commander legends spoilers and saw Three Visits was finally getting reprinted at uncommon (foil too) so hopefully that price tag won't be a problem anymore! Also why did you get rid of Yavimaya Hollow?

Great deck here mate. Looks like you've been working on it for a long time and still enjoying it.

One card from recent releases that I found super helpful and would combo off well in this deck was Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. It'll do some fun stuff with Magus of the Candelabra.

I also found that running out of gas was something that I encountered with my Omnath so keeping draw power, especially repeatable draw power, was essential. Have you considered The Great Henge? With Omnath regularly reaching quite high power its most likely that you will cast it for its reduced cost and it provides all sorts of value.

Otherwise great deck and I might have to steal some ideas from your deck for my own.

How does Vernal Bloom for Yavimaya/Green Urborg been working for you given that opponents who didn't play green will be getting free green mana to cast spells with, thereby mitigating it's benefit to you. Do you wait to play one or the other, or is the value you acrue/acquire with vernal bloom make it easy to ignore any potential help to your opponents?

Profet93 I'd probably have to make a strong consideration of dropping it on a turn I pass on if someone else is playing mono green, which I guess Yavimaya makes it so everyone is
