I like this, it looks like fun! The Bow of Nylea really seems like a great idea.

Icbrgr,
Thanks much, and yeah Bow of Nylea has proven to be surpisingly effective.

Gonna be real with ya, that's a really high curve for goblins. Maybe Skirk Prospector , Goblin Instigator , Mogg War Marshal , Legion Loyalist . I think those are just better for a tribal strategy, not to mention they're low cost and I don't hate sac to prospector on all of them. Maybe even throw in Krenko's Command , and Dragon Fodder

captainamerica,
Thanks, but this isn't 8-Whack.

Tbh, the curve is still a little low. Seriously. See, the Ponza mana- and dork-base is all about playing 3-drops (and sometimes 4-drops) on T2, and it's really good at casting 6-drops (usually on T4, but as early as T3). So I would not hesitate to push the Ave CMC closer to 2.7. And any 2-drops in the deck have to be good in the mid-to-late game (like Arkbow, which is pretty meh until X = 4 or 5).

Thanks again though!

I actually like the idea of a high curve on goblins. They have the cards to support it in Rabblemaster/warboss into seige commander.

That said, you need a more interactive gamplan. The strongest 3/4/5 drops are all cards that screw with your opponent, and while R/G might not be packing path to exile, Beast Within and Goblin Grenade aren't to be taken lightly.

I'd look at cutting mauler, collossus and some chieftans to pack in those disruption spells that midrange desperately needs. When you are giving up a couple of cards to ramp, you need to make that back either by trading 2 for 1 or ending the game before that card advantage matters, so things like Firespout or Fecundity are where you should be looking.

Personally, I'd splash black then lean into arkbow with Greater Good and Squee, Goblin Nabob / Auntie's Snitch as my value engine, then look for a more moderate number of goblins backed by Beast Within .

lagotripha,
Great inputs and ideas; thanks much!

So I recommend smaller goblins to parallel the general elves strategy of dropping something huge like craterhoof. It's not for aggro, noting that Skirk Prospector was in the suggestions I made. If you make 4 goblin tokens on turn three, chump if you have to to get to turn 4, you can conceivably drop craterhoof on turn 4. I think you're not taking full advantage of what green has to offer for this deck. Craterhoof Behemoth is an insanely powerful threat and I think it would be an all-star in this deck.

captainamerica,
Oh, I see what you mean now ... cool! You're right about not really using Green (well, except for the early ramp), and something like Craterhoof could be bonkers. I'll give it a hard look; thanks!
