Goblins have been an enduring tribal deck since the early days of Magic the Gathering. They appear in every format with varying success, and they appear in almost every set. Now, in the current standard format, goblins have been given a lot of support and a lot of fun new toys. Let's play with some of them.
Zada is beautiful. If I were to ever fall in love with a hideous, disgusting, smelly brute, it would surely be this one. This is the new goblin for everyone to hate, joining the ranks of Kiki-Jiki and Krenko. Despite the legendary rule, it's an absolute necessary 4 of. We want to see this bad boy every game. Here's why:
Zada+Expedite= crazy stupid potential for card advantage.
Zada+Brute Strength= An orgy of angry midgets
Zada+Temur Battle Rage= how is this even legal?
Also, these spells are cheap. They WILL be chained together to a ridiculous end.
Zada+Titan's Strength+Expedite= Your goblins are really big and you have a lot more on the way
Zada+Titan's Strength+Temur Battle Rage= Your opponent wishing Fog, Holy Day, or Darkness were standard legal.
Obviously, this deck will get better with play testing and suggestions. But I love the idea of goblins playing competitively instandard, preferably on a budget.
