*Goblin Battle!

Playstyle

 • Fast

 • Combo

 • Goblin Tribal

 • Minor Stax

**Fast** This deck is a fast deck. It has very little removal and almost no interaction, so you want to get your goblin army cast ASAP and generate damage.

**Combo** The deck has a few infinite combos to generate infinite goblins for either combat or sacrifice damage.

**Goblin Tribal** The deck is mostly goblins to compound the value of anthems/tutors. Increasing your number of goblins is the most important thing. Most of the time it is better to soak attacks than use goblins to block. Outside of emergencies, only swing into good trades.

**Minor Stax** The deck has a few stax pieces to slow down opponents and/or punish them for being multi-color.

Path to Victory

  1. Get goblin bodies on the board.

  2. Be cautious about casting your commander. Optimally you have a way to give him haste so that even if someone hits him with removal, you can tap him at least once to double your goblin count. If you don’t have a way to give him haste, only cast him when you are as sure as possible that he can survive a full turn cycle so you can tap him.

  3. Get your stax pieces on the board.

  4. Look for attacks, you know you can get through while losing as few goblins as possible.

  5. Get your pieces on the board that deals damage to the whole table at the same time.

Important Cards

 • Infinite Krenko Activations – Krenko, Mob Boss + Untap Artifact + Infinite Mana via sacrificing goblins
   • Untap Artifacts – Sword of the Paruns, Umbral Mantle
   • Infinite Mana – Ashnod's Altar, Skirk Prospector

 • Perfect Goblin Chain – This chain sets you up with all the goblins you need to get your engines online.
   • Acquire Goblin Recruiter by either drawing or tutoring
   • Cast Goblin Recruiter and tutor: Goblin Chieftain (for haste), Pashalik Mons (for insurance), Skirk Prospector (for mana), Warren Instigator (to play goblins for free), and Goblin Ringleader (to draw the other goblins you tutored).
   • Put all of these goblins on top of your Library with Goblin Ringleader on top.
   • Draw and cast Goblin Ringleader which lets you reveal the next four goblins and put them all in your hand.
   • The order you cast these goblins depends on what you need from most to least.
   • Once you have these goblins in play, start ramping and preparing for endgame.

 • Warren Instigator Tech – This goblin lets you put a goblin from your hand, onto the field when he deals damage to a player. Because he has double strike, if you deal combat damage to a player, in both the “first strike/double strike” step of the combat phase, and in the regular damage step of the combat phase; you get to put down two goblins from your hand. It’s OP! This will help you dump goblins from your hand ASAP.

 • Pashalik Mons as Insurance – This guy can be a sniper, to remove VIP creatures from the table at instant speed, or he can be used as insurance to hold people hostage. As long as you have an instant speed sacrifice outlet, you can sac as many/all of your goblins if you need to take something out ASAP or get value before a boardwipe cleans the table.

 • Table Wide Damage – Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, Warstorm Surge, Throne of the God-Pharaoh

 • Targeted Damage – Pashalik Mons, Burn at the Stake, Devil's Play, Comet Storm, Fling, Starstorm

 • Damage Multipliers – Furnace of Rath, Cleaver Riot, Kindred Charge, Relentless Assault

 • Haste – Goblin Chieftain, Battlemage's Bracers, Thousand-Year Elixir, Fervor
